what separates great music from music in general is something special, 90% of people don't have that something special
what im getting at is
electronic music needs more x-factor
Yep, that's true. That's why I mentioned that the GOOD house tracks stand out from the boring a little more in house because of how much there is. Probably more house out there than any other electronic genre.

Dunno, maybe there just needs to be less music overall.

I agree with that but i think it applies to any genre, most of it's same old & some of it stands out.
imo the 4x4 kick has nothing to do with it

I with Wubstep and Magma on this one, house and most 4x4 electronic music doesnt really do it for me. Its slowly growing on me just due to the amount of it you hear and every dance, but i really cant see me ever being interested enough to search for it myself.

I have no problem with 4x4, house is just the most boring manifestation of it, would literally rather listen to speedcore.
Plenty of nights for it in Bristol, Kay said he was up for some more hardstuff in 2013, I shall convert ye ninjaz.

Brutal techno I imagine can be down right scary. Not my cup of tea (atleast at this point in time) but then I dont get hardcore and stuff like that either, I cant really even deal with drum and bass much anymore either.

Edit: i know theres probably way better stuff out there of this style & i know this is a joke but when it gets to like 4.45
i wanna take drugs and get down to that sorta shit
but i have no idea who makes stuff like it
