You know, looking on the bright side: enough of us bellyache about the unending commercialization of the EDMz... perhaps, though, the flip side of it is that the public has been starved for decent music and are attracted to electronic beats an' tingz because - as we know - it's one of if not the best general genre out there right now. And maybe they'll get so saturated with this candy-coated 4/4 pop electronic shit that there'll be a proper backlash and people will go back to adoring idiot muppets with guitars and stylists and we can go back to dancing...
[puts down crack pipe. The dream above fades.]

#2: Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo (Daft Punk) – $60 million
#3: Thomas Bangalter (Daft Punk) - $60 million
These guys are rich enough to retire.

Photo: Daft Punk, Unmasked And Playing Champagne Beer Pong
With Daft Punk in town
shooting some video (hopefully involving
mom jeans) in midtown yesterday, we got into a discussion with coworkers about how no one has seen what the titular duo look like without their helmets on in over a decade. Electronic duo the Knocks coincidentally decided that yesterday was the perfect time to post a photo of them sans robotics. And of course—
of course—they're playing "champagne beer pong," the
sport of Mariah Carey.
As
Gawker points out, The Knocks quickly realized their faux pas, and deleted the photo—they updated their status with: "GUESS WE WEREN'T SUPPOSED TO POST THAT PIC :X." While Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter basically look exactly how we always imagined (ie, slightly more rumpled Vincent Cassel), the "champagne beer pong" (which really is champagne pong, right?) is what kills us.
Then again,
considering the fact that they are basically keeping their record label in business, Columbia should probably do whatever they can to appease the French artists—if that means they have to break out the fancy pink cookies, then so be it.
Champagne Pong:
le sport de porcs bourgeois.

This album had no soul in it, meaningless funk shit. Funk drums and guitar + repeat + daft punk label = £££.
No hard hitting drums, no 4x4. Weak
I liked motherboard tho!

Yeh, I can't listen to it as a whole, I've tried but it really is soft as fuck, the mix of the tracks are fucking awful.

This album made me sad, I'd made a lovely cup of tea, rolled a nice jay and got in the zone to listen to it and it was shit

I don't mind it as much as when I first heard it. few tracks I actually like quit a bit. most of it is still pretty lame though. second half being better. really some cheesy bits in the first few tracks especially (though some later too).
