Hard to answer really as it's different for everyone. My motivation is to be better than the person I was yesterday.
Try reading the book Drive by Daniel Pink. It's about motivation and what drives us. Can send over an electronic copy if you want, pm me.

imo this is going to sound weird, but I usually listen to martial industrial music when I want to get something done. For some reason the sense of extreme nationalism causes me to take action with the task that I need to get done. lol kind of fucked up considering my political views are opposed to nationalism, but it works so i roll wid it.

just imo I don't think a course for project management could really prepare you. would need in depth experience to understand the business processes. depends what on the course I guess though.

I'm changing career, I've got work at the moment, very well paid but very inconsistent, I need shit to do during the day, I'm looking at a course that starts in a few weeks which should put me on the right path.
I'm growing a beard.
