i have no ink done cos i havnt encountered anything that i'd think would benefit being stuck on me forever. alot of unique personal symbols/'mantras' i could contemplate but the meanings are stored mentally anyway. saying that im sure theres something i could think of that could do with being in arms reach (bad pun intended)

Some of the tattoos on this thread look like they were drawn on people by a 14 year old while they were asleep.
I'd quite like a tattoo of a swastika on dubluke's face

i'd like to have my neck front done, but need to speak to work about it (i'm not joking about the work thing, or the neck for that matter.)

I got deeply offended when my work asked me to cover mine up for an external meeting. Now I'm re-job hunting I hope it doesn't become an issue again...

Well it completely depends where about it is on your body, if it is visable whilst wearing a suit then its not going to look very professional, most companys wont employ you if you have tattoo's on your hand, neck or head i think...

tbh depends on the job and the person - i have my fingers, neck and back of head tattooed and it hasnt affected my work at all, whether in the service industry or technology/consultancy (which is what I do now).
However, most studios (certainly ones ive worked in) will not tattoo on these parts of the body unless you are pretty much sleeved/ covered all over first. It's a significant decision to make and, unfortunately, not everyone spends enough time considering the implications.

true that ddd. there's less stigma in tech i know because they care more about the quality of work than what the person looks like. tbh, its one of the reasons I'm a bit more reluctant to switch to anything that requires me going into the office. I love all my facial piercings and even at 31, I am loathe to remove them.
speaking of tattoos, i've been thinking about my next one a lot more. i still like the idea of having just typed words on me....now its a matter of which new scriptures i want on the bellyback. i'll figure it out.

but I can't wait...jeebus....no more work on the spine tho...whoooaaaarr over the bone is some ROUGH business. gotta be symmetrical so I'm thinking two passages, one on either side of the spine below the ribcage....that should be fleshy enough to not hurt too bad, yeah? I'm hoping so!
i'd love to get another piercing but.....meh....i think 30 marked the age of the tattoos. i like being a walking page....people *still* stop me to read me hehehehe
