agreed, however portugal play well, but also they are very effective..
on the upside czech rep. and turkey are level now .. so the third game is gonna be quite entertaining..

im not ruling out italy just yet altho we kicked their asses 3-0! Czechs i really like their team, they had chances to draw but then Deco had a genius plan for a real quick free kick and that settled it. Defining moment was the little ego clash between Deco, C. Ronaldo, Simao and Carvalho for that free kick late in the second half, where Deco walked off cos they were argueing who should take the free kick. That didnt look like "team spirit" at all.

woohoo! Austria has still got a chance to go throught.. a small one but still..
gotta say the first 30 minutes against Poland was the best performance of an Austrian team i have ever seen... too bad they were to stupid to score the goal..

Nice of the ref to give you that last minute penalty. Was a brave decision, IMO.

yes you're right.. it was a penalty, but it was quite brave to give.. on the other hand poland's goal was an offisde goal, so fairplay in the end I guess..
I'm really chuffed that Austria's match against zee germans will be the decisive one.. everyone has been hoping for that in Austria.. Vienna is gonna be a nuthouse on monday

So what's the atmosphere like over there? The BBC coverage that I was watching/listening to seemed to suggest that people weren't too football mad in Vienna...

yesterday the atmosphere was quite good.. with Austria playing and all.. apart from that it has been pretty calm.. if you don't go near the fanzones you don't really get the impression, that the Euro is actually taking place in Vienna... except for all the turkish/croatian areas that is
However if Austria beats Germany, it's gonna go off big time.. we shall see
