I dare anyone to put on Mud VIP or Lean Forward by Mala and see what the crowd does. If the venue has a good bass setup than you are in for a winner every time

i think the problem stems from the fact that alot of producers are trying gain a certain response from the people in the dance. raw brokkage. the easiest way to achieve this is to create bangers.
however.i have an important analogy we can all learn from.i study design and one of the most important things pinifarina said(designs ferraris) was that they "show the public what they want before they know they want it".
for example la roux skreamix. no one would have thought such a tune could be so reverred within the dubstep community until skream showed the punters that this is what they want.

got to agree with missing the old days.
i wasnt listening to dubstep very much in 2005/2006 but it was defiantly very special then. Most of the time i don't hear that vibe anymore.

thats so strange, i was just looking down the topics on the forum and began to think exactly the title of this one just before i saw it below all the threads about the latest wobble. i suppose its the wobble thats made many people come to the nights over the last 2 years (circa cockney thug) so the top producers wanna keep making whats keeping them on top. and although i do miss the sound fell in love with i don't miss the sausage-fest aspect of the old FWD days!
