its the lover you got a bit too into and paid too much attention and now theyre just like meh take em or leave em really. i generally find that when dubstep starts treating me bad i go and see garage, house, techno or one of them others, then when i see dubstep next its much more eager to please, we have more fun together, and im less worried about where we're going, you know, where i see us in a year or whatever

party people decide when its not interesting anymore it aint for no critic to decide. when you go to DMZ and no1 is dancing then you got a problem.
honestly i think when dubstep becomes 'a listening experience' (and there are a fair few attempts at this already) is when it gets boring for me.

Indeedy. In my earlier post I wasn't suggesting that all producers should suddenly revert to making garage again. It just has to be rhythmically 'on it', like.

I find it interesting what Kode9 says about us internalizing jungle's double-time element, so we no longer need to hear it: some indigenous African music works like this.

I don't like it when it sounds like rock ....I'm a bit late on this thread i know. I like the bit when (blackdown?) said that reggae samples and wobble bass dont always equal good dubstep...just like how badly used jazz samples didn't always make good drum and bass many years ago...
