Huge thread revival but i had my first lucid dream last night, I was fishing with my mate ben and i suddenly thought I can't be fishing with him cos he's on holiday and voila...

I couldn't stop looking at the stars and out to sea it was amazing, especially the stars, I just found myself in awe at this vivid and beautiful world that i now had as my playground. A few times I sort of lost lucidity(?) and then suddenly realised I was dreaming again, and regained control. I didn't have complete control of the world and characters around me, i guess that will come with practice.

At one point I lost lucidity and started dreaming, then realised I was dreaming and woke up back into the lucid world or something like that, proper Inception stuff!

Anyone else had any experiences recently they want to share?

glad you had a lucid dream. good thing about them is they can stay just as amazing so long as you want them to.
ive gotten into a bad habit of either just flying, or fucking when ever i relaize im dreaming.

one to try is conciously go to sleep in your dream when you realize you are in one. it can work as a back door into the astral plane.

dreaming = astral plane right? just on another level or something. that's what i've read ??? what do you think?

sort of. i guess what i meant to say is it can move your focal point from your physical body, into your energy body....which can move between different vibrational planes.

I had one two nights ago so here you go. It was really weird because I knew I was dreaming the entire time, and since I have them quite often, I wanted to see what was at the end. This might be because I've been trying to attempt astral projection, and I feel like I'm getting close.

Anyways, here it is:
I was hanging out with some people, when I got a call from a dad of someone I know (not really sure who though), asking if I could help him out with something in the woods. Teaching Scouts or something, that detail isn't too important I don't think. But I said okay. So he picks me up and takes me to some forest and it turns out he actually took me there to try and kill me because he's in some white supremacist group .

Somehow I got away, and spent the next 3-6 hours running away from him in the woods; but not just trying to get away...but almost trying to out smart him and stay ahead of him enough that I knew where he was (but he wouldn't know where I am), so I could essentially back track and get behind him either to get some payback on him or just follow him and get to the parking lot. I decided just following would be the better idea. At some point in the dream I lost my shoes, or they got busted up or something. Either way I was shoeless, and my feet were all cut up for half of it.

Eventually I'd found the parking lot, and it looked like it I could get there in about 5 minutes if I booked it. I ended up going a little bit slower though, just to make sure I didn't run into this guy. Right before I get to the parking lot, there was a ravine I had to jump over...which just ended up being a man made path that went through the middle of some hill. As I jumped it (and realized what it really was), there was a couple (maybe around 30ish) and their father walking through. So I went and talked to them, and they thought it was kinda funny I jumped over them, until I told them the whole situation. From here the city was super close and they said they'd drive me...but they had walked to these woods, which made no fucking sense but whatever.

They kept walking where they were going, I went to the parking lot to find a car to hotwire, but after some searching I just found a coach bus full of old people who said they would take me as far as the A&W they were going to. It was still pretty far from my house, but it was a ride into the city none the less. On the bus some old man kept talking to me about what kind of burgers he was going to get, it was fucking hilarious. As I was getting off the bus, I noticed that there was 3 or 4 MASSIVE cockroaches on the pavement scurrying around. The only animals I hate more than cockroaches are mice/rats so I was just fucking freaking out, as I didn't want them crawling all over my bare, bloody feet. I almost felt like puking, even though I was completely aware it was a dream.

I didn't have to worry about them on my feet apparently, because all of a sudden there were a bunch tangled up in my hair. Yes. IN MY HAIR. They took so long to pull out because my hair was already all knotted up and full of leaves and shit, and after I pulled out the 5th or 6th one, I decided that was too much and too gross for me and I had to wake up.
If anyone here is good at dream analysis, please let me know because this dream has left me so fucking confused!

Great thread. Going to start doing the reality checks and dream journal soon.

I am fascinated by dreams especially since I had a dream recently where I was in a plane crash and when I crashed, the pressure on my body (which I perceived to be me dying) was crazy and as I saw the world darken around me and the pressure get even stronger on my body, it went black and I woke up. Definitely really interesting stuff, hope I can achieve some of the same results as everyone else.

I go in to an odd lucid state if I take shit loads of opiates before bed. Happens mainly with tramadol, but tramadol has almost zero euphoria so it's a bit waste. Morphine and temgesic works the best. Feels like time is going slow as fuck, and feels like I'm not even sleeping. I'll look at the clock constantly and see only 5 minutes have passed, but it'd feel like I've been in a controllable dreamworld for about an hour.

from my first read that makes me think that's fucked up.

yeah but i love how time works in that state, dream time anyway...

its almost like because your brain doesn't have to deal with external reality it just works thousands of times faster internally, the brain patterns become simpler and more focused so you do things, and think many times faster than you do when you're awake.

Hows everyone doin?
Lost interest in it for a while but then i've just had one 2 nights in a row. I normally lose lucidity after a few minutes if that but it's getting better. In this book im reading it says you should put yourself in front of a giant tv and tweak the contrast/volume/colours just to train your mind and get better at controlling stuff. I didn't make it to a tv but i managed to change the colour of a car or something as though i was playing around with the hue in photoshop. Almost getting over shagging the closest girl the second i go lucid lol.

I thought of this thread this morning...

I've been having very lucid dreams lately with seemingly no effort. It seems to have come with a price though, as almost every night it's as though I've just fallen from the ceiling and I'm bouncing back up and wake suddenly... still bouncing a bit. Not so much scary or anything... just puts me off for a bit until I can go back to sleep.

Had one last night. I realised it was a dream and managed to not wake up. Like I was starting to but somehow held it off. Started walking around a room and picking things up. First time I've had complete control over myself in a dream. Felt weird though. Like I kept drifting out of myself in the dream and feeling more like I was in bed but then not waking up and carrying on.

Although recently ive been sleeping very lightly and I have no idea why..?
So the dreams are quite watered down and sluggish

That's pretty much exactly what I do haha. Been able to lucid dream since I was young and still all I seem to want to do is fly or start jumping through walls into other worlds to see how many I can find.

I just moved to Brizzle, lack of erb, actually started dreaming again. Literally used to go months without a hint of a dream.

Get in bed, wait, wake up. Shit sux.

Having dreams nightly pretty much now, though they're pretty light, I never feel fully immersed so I doubt lucidity is in reach yet. Though I am trying.

get back on it and use it man.

one of the things thats always put aside is that the whole point of becoming lucid in your dreams , is to help you bring more awarness and lucidity to your day to day or 'waking' life.

manifest.

easier said than done though of course. i still have them every now and then but not as frequent anymore. probly is something to do with the herb.
