Mean Streets Pt. 1 was the same, and you get 3 tracks. Swamp double packs are usually £10 or £11. Either way, your choice is your choice :4:

I hardly think the number of tracks comes into it man (within limits), plenty of releases have 3 tracks and come in at less than that. I mean, if you're going by number of tracks, then I don't see why length isn't brought in, because the latest Burial release would be considered an absolute bargain.

Like you say, my choice is my choice, and I'm not trying to start a beef, it just doesn't surprise me why more and more people are giving up vinyl. I buy plenty, and some people would be in my position, saying that £5.99 is too much for 3 tracks. Hope you get my point man, and I appreciate putting vinyl out is very expensive (it's something I'm looking to do for Night Tracks eventually), I just think it's a bit much for something with basically no risk (you know it's gonna sell out!).

Does appear to actually be £10. £8.33+£1.67 VAT.

Bit pricey for sure...

Quick question, what is the VAT?

Do you mean the cost of the VAT? Or what is VAT?

If the latter, then it's Value Added Tax, currently set at 20%.

It's always cool (for me) when sites lost the price with VAT and once I log in, the VAT goes away and my whole cart is suddenly 20% cheaper

anyways, stoked on part 2. wouldve been pissed if I missed out and my part 1 didn't have a brother to hang with :w:

I spent like 35 € on Part 1 (discogs, meh), because I missed out on it...

Now I still spent like half the price (including shipping) for a record I bught without listening to a second of it, even though I was more i time than almost possible.

(Sorry for my bad english)

I agree, it's understandable why people want digital releases and such. There are soooo many records out there worth buiyng. But what can I do. it's Swamp, it's Falty... Hrmpf. I had to buy it. But: I'm sure those tracks will be gold. :)

garethom wrote:There's labels out there putting out impressive pieces, heavyweight vinyl too, nice artwork, nice sleeves for £6/7. Don't see why this has to be any different, but whatever. Like I said, not picking up this piece, have more important things to buy.
oh most definitely. it amazes me that you can pay the same for a 2-track whitelabel in a paper sleeve as you pay for a 4-track ep with full jacket & label graphics. and that it usually isn't more than £7. I meant more that swamp could charge 15-20 for this and it would still sell out. maybe not as quickly, but it would definitely be seen more as a "collectors item" (to be displayed/sold rather than played)

Definitely copping part 2. Letting part 1 slip by was my biggest vinyl par ever... it was one of those ones where I intended to get it a bit later, but had no idea at the time it was 500 copies only :u:

Yeah, like what it is.

I'm from America, so it makes me feel good when a portion of the price is chopped.
