was expecting nowaysj would come through but oh well...
@BudTron: generl remix > really nice one, mixdown sounds on point on my headphones, i feel you could put reverb/delay on some of the snares to give it more of a dubby feeling, aside from that not much critique i can give, this one mostly sounds "finished" to me
exorcism > not really my cup of tea tbh, arpegiatted trancey synth yadda yadda, this said, again the mixdown sounds good to me. i feel like you could use the heavy bassy sound at the end of your breakdown more, like at the end of a 16/32 bar phrase, to kind of resolve it before going back on the 1, also maybe the beats could be a bit more break-y, but then again personal taste and i'm not sure that's the direction you want to go with on this one
JBE/twisted psykie > feeling this, no critique on the mixdown, i'm not sure about the clap during the stripped down part before your mixdown, i like the clap/snare you use in the main parts more (most probably personal taste tho), as pointed out by Bud, maybe you could add another melodic element on the second part, even just a short vocal snippet? also, minor pet peeve but i feel the way it ends is a bit abrupt, maybe filtering the arpegiated synth's higher frequencies slightly or sending it to a reverb that gets progressively more wet as the track ends, dunno

Oh hells of no! There is unending potential in just Live all by itself dude!
Feeling pretty good dudes. I won't be turning in that track for last week, but I'll turn it in this week unless, you know, I get hit with thor's hammer.

i mean obviously you could count midi vsts that do the job for you at making music or doing sth your brain tells you is cool but you just made like years ago like same workflow and melody samples even
i tend to forget fast so i have to recheck what i did i mean there might be people who can really invent themselves but what most do is camouflage their workflows with dif sounds and genres the same idea can be used several times atleast until its noticed

Well you can use one idea and infinitely expound on that, right?
But less abstractly, there is just so much sonic potential in our software now, man. I can't even imagine not being able to come up with a song kernel in this day and age. NOW - finding and developing all the right parts, making a great song, yeah, that is some next level shit. But to sketch a song, fuck dude, I think if I had 8 uninterrupted hours a day, I could easily do 8 a day, 5 days a week. No prob dawg. 40 fucking songs a week.

yeah i dont even would say in a daw just in general its hard to invent sth "new"
but yeah ideas thats where we might differ is an idea a song
every new vsts is basically an adaption to this developing an idea to uncountable new ideas with every sound that differs to its predecessor
what i basically mean
look at some of the old brostep guys before it was brostep they made moombahton trap etc and all the time it was the core idea when they started the sounds didnt change not much melodies maybe tempo sure but it wasnt trap it was this guy layering his sound over the basic idea of trap not adapting trap into his workflow (sorry for using trap as an example)
but yeah that said it might be possible to have atleast one "idea" a week

I'm gonna come back to that post, and with a sharpened chisel, and see what I can do.
Yeah, new musical ideas... I mean how many of those emerge in any given year on a global scale? A few, a couple?
I'm definitely process oriented, and have no interest in inventing genres. I just really like doing what I do. Generally have a ball making music, and a real ball ache finishing music. Shit I'm working on right now is so jokes, fucking booty shaking star wars cantina music. So jokes. Should see my girl dance to this shit, so funny. She totally gets it. Haha!
