well i've been in a tricky spot once. i was engaged but not ready to be a mom years ago just yet so i had to go get it. felt really nauseous for a day. but after that, everything was fine-ish---i don't really like how hormones affect the body but its at times a necessary evil. its not supposed to be a method of BC....just get the pill or use condoms if its not a serious relationship. Sorry but seriously....the amount of money you have to spend for a condom is way less than 18 years of child rearing. And same for the pleasure. I'm sure there are plenty of new parents who wish they had cared a lil less about pleasure and a lil more about being responsible partners.tempest wrote:cheers belle, so you consider it to be safe?

lol so very true.SilentK wrote: Condoms really ruin a good momen. its like, you really getting into it, a nice bit of foreplay, you getting really intimate, then BAM, "sorry love, just gotta look like a twat for a second while i put this latex sock over my cock" urgh.
is it any worse than diapers, bottles, shots, dentists, dance lessons, lil league uniforms, college tuition, schooling, new clothes because they grow so fast, besides the 18 years worth of time it takes to feed, clothe, school, tend, and care for a person that could have been avoided by a $3.00 investment?SilentK wrote:I absolutly hate condoms, and so does my girlfriend, that why shes on the pill, also cause she can just take to months worth B2B if she don't feel like a peroid.

i am not just saying "fuck it, dont bother with condoms" i am saying, find a different method of contraception that works for you and/or your partner. if you are just taking some random bird home from the pub, then by all means use a conny. but if you are in a good relationship with someone, then i think a different (perhaps longer term) form of contraception is better. i am by no means condoning the abandonment of contraception, just voicing my problems with having to use a condombellybelle wrote:is it any worse than diapers, bottles, shots, dentists, dance lessons, lil league uniforms, college tuition, schooling, new clothes because they grow so fast, besides the 18 years worth of time it takes to feed, clothe, school, tend, and care for a person that could have been avoided by a $3.00 investment?SilentK wrote:I absolutly hate condoms, and so does my girlfriend, that why shes on the pill, also cause she can just take to months worth B2B if she don't feel like a peroid.

seriously......a few dollars versus years worth of money...
BESIDES the risk of STDs and AIDS, for which there is still no cure...
Unless you're in a serious relationship, be smart about it. Stop thinking in the moment and think longer term. If you're ready to be a parent, go for it. If not, wrap your shit and just deal.
vasectomies also work and they're reversibleSilentK wrote:i am not just saying "fuck it, dont bother with condoms" i am saying, find a different method of contraception that works for you and/or your partner. if you are just taking some random bird home from the pub, then by all means use a conny. but if you are in a good relationship with someone, then i think a different (perhaps longer term) form of contraception is better. i am by no means condoning the abandonment of contraception, just voicing my problems with having to use a condombellybelle wrote:is it any worse than diapers, bottles, shots, dentists, dance lessons, lil league uniforms, college tuition, schooling, new clothes because they grow so fast, besides the 18 years worth of time it takes to feed, clothe, school, tend, and care for a person that could have been avoided by a $3.00 investment?SilentK wrote:I absolutly hate condoms, and so does my girlfriend, that why shes on the pill, also cause she can just take to months worth B2B if she don't feel like a peroid.

no they're reversible. For some reason, the onus of protection from babies got passed to us. I wish there was a pill for men too. But vasectomies are reversible....just....a lot of men are all "No not my sackage." I mean...hormones aren't great by any stretch of the imagination....a necessary evil, is more like it. The side-effects suck. Migraines, swelling, depression, etc.--all common side effects for users of the pill. Its not super....just...well, necessary evil, yeah?SilentK wrote:waah? you serious? i thought that was a VERY one way street?bellybelle wrote:vasectomies also work and they're reversibleSilentK wrote:i am not just saying "fuck it, dont bother with condoms" i am saying, find a different method of contraception that works for you and/or your partner. if you are just taking some random bird home from the pub, then by all means use a conny. but if you are in a good relationship with someone, then i think a different (perhaps longer term) form of contraception is better. i am by no means condoning the abandonment of contraception, just voicing my problems with having to use a condombellybelle wrote:is it any worse than diapers, bottles, shots, dentists, dance lessons, lil league uniforms, college tuition, schooling, new clothes because they grow so fast, besides the 18 years worth of time it takes to feed, clothe, school, tend, and care for a person that could have been avoided by a $3.00 investment?SilentK wrote:I absolutly hate condoms, and so does my girlfriend, that why shes on the pill, also cause she can just take to months worth B2B if she don't feel like a peroid.
