you're right, it was a poor decision from the judge, and if you actually see the footage its pretty disgraceful

its still a part of this new wave of anti-Somalian propaganda that seems to be sprouting up everywhere tho, saw three stories in tuesday's metro all painting Somalians in very bad light, from racist and violent attackers to pirate's who're ruining our economy to benefit frauds and illegal immigrants who are.... ruining our economy

there's hundreds of cases like the Somalian attack one every week in Britain, involving white british people, black people, asian people, and probably some of them involving a racial element, and im also guessing a lot of them with pretty ridiculous outcomes

not excusing the attackers, just saying its not an indictment of the British justice system's supposed 'one-rule-for-them' system

Yeah, I'm not saying they should be sent down because they are Somalian, Im saying it shouldnt matter what colour the attackers are in relation to the victims, if its a racially motivated assault it should be the same outcome whether its a white person attacking an asian person, a black person attacking a white person etc etc.

That's what I was trying to explain to them but no as far as they were concerned everything is set up against them in England just because they hear what the daily mail tells them happens in England. They even claimed that shows like the Jeremy Kyle show only have white guests to try and cast negative views against the white population in England.

Yeah it almost feels like the papers were looking for another story (not that they arent always anyway) after the tram thing.

Like you said, Im sure theres alot of similar cases everyday involving white, black, asian people that dont get picked up by the papers. It really does annoy me some of the stuff papers decide is news worthy and stuff that isnt!I know im lazy and could actually find out alot more myself, but what is put in the papers is never even nearly the whole story!

yeah thats exactly what it felt like to me, it was like 'here's the Tram thing, now lets cause MORE uproar with the Somali thing cos now we can ride this bullshit Toboggan for another 2 weeks'

both cases on their own are kind of boring, run-of-the-mill incidences of stupidity and ignorance, the papers picked up on them and the whole thing has ballooned
