@BevOh - Drums are solid.... the last half of the synth could use some more deepness on it. I have the same problem making thin synth, so sorry cant help much there!!!
@ BudSpencertron- UUUGH!!! I love the steppin' vibes!!!!! when using vox add more delay or reverb on it.. but I love em. In second half maybe add some hi hats to carry the switch up better. but keep it up!!!
@Psypher- nice tune.. all I have to say is your main synth is a bit muddy. EQ that bitch up!!! But after that .. GOLD!
Heres something I am working on for the HULK remix competition.....

@The Other Drug sounds like eq is a bit off to me. highs and mids were raping my ears but lows didnt come through as much, could be the shitty headphones im listening with at work but yeah.

@ The Other Drug: Nice intro you have going on here, 1st drop hits good but it still needs a bit of work, like maybe on the his and mids. But damn 2nd drop on 2:45 is biggg, just keep working on the eq!! Don't know what else to tell ya, keep it up!
@ideate: Haha, fucking love this! Great atmosphere and the drums are heavy, the bass synths hit nice and low. Love the feel and on 2:10 - 2:36. Keep adding on to it, would love to hear the final version, Big ups !!
@ Mannyyyyy: Madddddddd, intense grimey basslines

! Drums hit perfect, love the evil vocal sample you threw in it. Don't know what else to tell you, sounds like you are done with this tune!
And here's my unfinished tune, started it today. Thought I'd go on and make a Drum & Bass remix of Diddy's Coming Home tune.

Would love some feed back on this, cheers!

Hi again, yet another wall of text of comments inc:
@ Mannyyyy :
Hi again!
Drums sound fat!
Seems like it's drumstep? Yep, it's drumstep. Not too fond of the genre in it's whole but great track soundwise. I would make the drums more hectic tho. like PLA PETE PEPLA, you get me.
Nice one!
@ Ideate :
Nice atmosphere there. I would've personally made it more laid back with that atmos. But hey, it flows!
It gets a tad repetitive tho but that pad swelling up makes it bearable! Nice track mate, props!
@Budspencertron :
Feelin' quite dubby on that one!
Seems like the mixdown needs alot of work tho, drums ain't coming out perfectly or was that your goal?
Love what you did with the vocals tho.
Seems like a perfect lounge-track
@ Bevoh :
Hi mate!
Seems quite repetitive imho. Try changing the drums up, add some other elementes. Little things always work best if you want to beat the "repetitivness".
@ The Other Drug :
That snare reminds me of Datsik - Apples.
I would personally (!) make it a tad heavier tho.
Can't really find anything else to say, instead of different rythm in those drums.
@ Loud Flavor
Wow! Those bells and those hats are perfect.
Didn't notice it was a remix till the vocals came in and it honestly gave me goosebumps so that's a good thing!
Shame what you did furtheron tho. I would've taken it more mellow after the intro. Still keeps me bumping my head tho!
That being said, I'm an amateur myself and all my comments are purely my view on that track.
Been working on something new got it finished, however I'm never statisfied with how my tracks end up. (I usually change shit weeks later, I bet everyone has that)
This one got mastered by Reign and would love to get some feedback!

@ The Other Drug - This one had my head nodding, havent heard the original. Loved the intro, wicked build up there. Nice big sound, and plenty going on, main snare could hit a bit harder though.
@ Loud Flavor - Wicked tune, excellent drum work, listened a couple of times now, cant really say anything crit wise really, looking forward to finished article.
@ Cubicle - Nice minimal vibe here, kinda reminds me of some of Skream's work. Plenty of space in the mix, bass sounds spot on in my cans, love the percussion work, great stuff.

Please read the first page of this topic before replying.
There are still certain rules that should be followed.

TO EVERYONE ASKING FOR FEEDBACK WITHOUT CRITIQUING PREVIOUS POSTERS: read the rules and quit being a selfish prick. this thread thrives on mutual participation, begging for feedback without posting your own will more than likely get your post ignored and ultimately just clutter up this thread more. (I feel like I say this everytime I post a tune in here, but people never seem to understand this...)
ANYWAY...
@The Other Drug: drum programming is nice on this one man! snare sounds a little weak, and the drums kinda get overtaken by the basses after the drop. but besides that it's sounding nice man, a little tweaking here and there and you'll have a nice track.
@Loud Flavor: you're not fucking around with this one are ya?! i like how you dive right in with this one. kick and snare sound FAT, i like! those basses after the drop are diiiirty too man. like that little break around the 1:08 mark or so and how you hint at some dub/drumstep breaks in there. i haven't heard the original of this tune, but i like what you did with the remix.
@cubicle: i like this! intro's nice, vocal sample seems a little muddy, but that might just be how it is. sounds like some old-school wub-wubs after the drop, but you definitely spiced it up somehow and made it sound different than the stereotypical sound. nice structure, everything gels together pretty nicely. good work!
@Echoi: love the slow build up in the intro. drums are spot-fucking-on, as well as those harsh synths in there. could be my system or the fact that it's still a WIP, but the sub seems like it's lacking a bit. definitely an original sound, i'd love to hear more from you.
Here's an updated/kinda-totally-reworked version of my latest track. I've been listening to a lot of James Blake, Phaeleh, and SBTRKT lately, and was inspired to make a deeper track. Mastered it a bit and I think it's almost there, looking for some feedback on it though, anythings appreciated!

@echoi love the mini growls that go away from the sub nice drums great perc work
@cubicle love the power of the bass and the sub what i would love to here is some ragga shout and a only sub part after that, bassline is great too.
@loud flavor that is fucking intense maybe go even more the current value karthasys like style would turn out great i think
some sound i started

Been working hard on this. I think its close to finished. The name was just kinda something random.
Disclaimer: There is a sample in here saying "Get ready for the biggest fucking bass drop ever". However its probably not the biggest bass drop ever. Still this is by far my best little tune yet.

Oh Sorry I didn't give feedback before posting. Still a bit of a noob.
Loud Flavor: Holy shit I fucking love this! Can't wait to hear that when its done.
Echoi: I'm digging the darkness in the track. I don't really feel as though I'm good enough to be critiquing yet but I would like to hear you work some straight sixteenth notes in there later on in the track.
Budspencertron: I'm really liking the first thing really cool sample use.

and here is my feedback. Although I am just a beginner I will try to help as much as I can
charleswpeck:
Your track is awesome, deep, I love that kind of stuff, cant think of advice for you honestly. Maybe try a bit of new york compression on your send channel and add it to each instrument if applied carefully in small doses may add something to make your tune sound richer in lower and higher frequency spectrum. Tell me if Im saying something obvious or if Im wrong, I have only recently discovered that trick )
dogmancar:
The Idea is big. I believe in order to improve it try working on frequencies(moneyshot thread on this forum))), use different layers of base in order to make it sound reacher(Eg low, mid, sub) that way every bass plays in its frequency range , eq your drums, there is shit loads of information about that on the internet. These are the things that I have only recently started paying proper attention to myself.
BudSpencertron:
I Like the new thing (Thunder), very interesting, I would love to hear finished version. I dont like pads, the main low bass thingy sounds quite unconventional("not usual" are these synonims?) dont expect pads like that, do something with them

i like how use just used a sine wave for the intro. Sound design is decent for basses. Needs some work though in getting the SFX in the beginning to flow with the intro when it starts.

@alexeyhermann: I'm most impressed by the subs in this track. Solid mix.
@dogmancar: The track itself has potential, my favorite part being the drum sounds - although I wish they were louder. I think the mix may have some other issues. The midrange bass(es) feel a little dry and could possibly benefit from some reverb, delay, or chorus. Also maybe filter off some of the high end on the synth in the intro, or perhaps soften the gate/lfo effect. Even with my headphones turned quite low, it seems a bit to bright.
@dogmancar: I'm really digging the deep ass bass, although it seems a little muddy around the 0:50 mark. Nice atmosphere!
This track is far from finished. The buildups are completely generic, i haven't properly layered all of my subs yet, and the distorted kick/stab is all out of whack at the end. Just a warning.

alexeyherman: thanks so much mate! will try out that compression tip--still trying to get a handle on proper mastering. as jrisreal said, sub on that track is very nice!
