If people arn't gona listen and go down the wrong path there's not much you can do. Either support them and hope they make the right decision, or sack them off and hang out with other people.

Totally, but it's also surprising how easily you can let go of people from childhood/school... there are millions of other people to be mates with and most of them won't air you out for trying to live a nice life.

My Gran used to say that friends were for "a reason, a season or for life".. the important bit is to work out which ones are which. Some people you'll want around forever, no matter what goes down... others, you might surprise yourself how little you miss them if you stop hanging out.

My best friend died from a heroine overdose after coming back from Rehab.
I tried countless times to help him.
Fed him incredible Marijuana to help him not crave H.
He knew how terrible it was and I told him many times that he will end up killing himself if he didn`t stop.
In the end he chose to take the same as what he took before rehab.
Which naturally pushed him over the edge.
His mom called me to pick his stiff body up from behind the toilet.

Do everything that you can.

right, the finance guys are really taking the piss now... so they implement a new petty cash system that is inherently flawed as wasn't going to work, they didnt explain it well and then they get surprised when they come back a month later and it hasnt worked and some of the figures are way off and then the pricks have the temerity to try and blame that all on me and use it as an excuse to try and put me out of a job because im supposedly incompetent! I'm not incompetent, they fucked the system up and are now trying to blame it on me, before they changed the system my petty cash ALWAYS balanced and was never an issue
