Yeah guess so. I'm one for holding up his standard to his madvillain standard. I can't really listen to his stuff if there's not a madlib kick slapping his lazy bum. So when he teams up with another fav producer got me hoping.

Think DOOM was always overrated. He lacked the style of an RBX or Scarface or Butterfly to pull off the 'lazy flow'. He has stand-out tunes, though. When he gets wilder and more agressive he can be pretty tight on a beat.

I seriously don't choose to have the opposiite opinion of everyone on rappers, but damn I seem to be pretty lonely in them.

I think he knows he sounds awkward on quite a few of his tracks, doesnt seem to really give a fuck though. thats kinda why I like his stuff haha

You're right, he's unique, I give him that much. His style just never really blew me away. He has some good beats, though.

Based on his best work he's with out a doubt the best rapper ever imo.
It's just that his nature and attitude is more a introvert writer type than an entertainer which is unfortunate in a climate with so many big egoes trying to make their mark, but that's also why his wordplay and how much you can go into his brain is so different from everyone else. He's an actual poet. Musically you could disagree but it's r.a.p.

Tbh, I'm not sure I really need more from him. Mmm... Food, Madvilliany and Dangerdoom were more than enough and kmd had their moments too. I'd prefer to remember him well than check for his new stuff and be disappointed... too many young kids with new ideas about to care about his fake DJ-set scamming caboose.

Usually it takes a while to get bored of Doom tracks, His wordplay overflows with imagination and really interesting references, i've spent hours on RapGenius following his rhymes. He needs a collab with RZA, I could honestly see an album by them blowing up the hip hop world.

Bookfiend is alright, nothing special on Doom's part, the fade out of the song sounded decent.

was disappointed with the doom track as well, but he's still a fucking insane rapper. i dunno anyone else who could rhyme 3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine like it ain't even a thing.

i did buy key to the kuffs, but only cos i bought the tshirt and it came free. vaudeville villain is his best work.
