i did exactly the same yesterday too...

sat with frozen chicken breasts on my hand for an hour or two, knuckle on little finger is now knuckle on third finger and wrist is grindy and horrible

no point fighting it, the conflict of feeling like shit and wanting and trying to not feel like shit only confuse your mind when you're trying to deal with your emotions, its not for everyone but sometimes its good to just feel like crap and be cool with that.

if you dont let yourself feel the lows like they are, the highs stop making sense... if that makes sense
