I didn't even know who Mt. Eden was till I read this thread. So for those of you who hate him with all your being -- congratulations!! You are the same ones making him so popular.

But to break it off some - of all people to complain about - Mt Eden isn't really even that bad. Yeah, he's nothing to write home about, but I get sent lots of shit WAY worse on a daily basis.

Yeah - but it is all still helping perpetuate him and his music. I have heard a LOT worse at college parties.


And just for the record - when I said I get sent way worse shit, please let it be known that I do appreciate anyone who takes the time to send me stuff (good or bad). I am just saying that there are plenty of people who do derivative stuff. Singling this cat out just cos he is getting a lil fame at the moment - who cares? For all the venom, I was expecting something really really terrible. To me, it isn't really even bad enough to get that worked up over. It is just painfully mediocre is all.

That's exactly my point man, the music isn't a big deal for me I don't like it but so what I don't even think his music is that bad, I just don't get how he got so popular doing what he does

I really have to disagree, I do think the music is that bad. I mean, honestly almost every single 1 post person that pops up here saying I just wrote my first dubstep track, can you listen is better than mt. eden.

This is interesting just like all the other social aberrations that are about. Like poor people here in the states protesting because taxes on the rich are too high. This type of mass delusion is interesting to look at.

He uses the same stock kick and snare from fruity loops which bugs me plus his drum pattern and bassline is pretty much the same for most of his songs. Still, I like some of his songs, not the worse producer on the planet but not the best.
