They've withdrawn their bid for BSkyB;

I personally think they'll still go ahead with the take over. It might not be until a year or two from now but I think it will happen...

I was also toying with the notion of Dicky Branson extending his media and network interests, if Virgin took on Sky would it be a good thing? I think he's one to look out for in ten, twenty years time. You could call him a NEW MEDIA MOGUL!!! GET IT?! AAHHAHAHAHAH

Branson's kick seems to be starting things up... he likes selling for a profit when he gets bored and then having a good time with the cash. Murdoch is pre-occupied with the power/reputation aspects which is why he's so easy to paint as the Mr Burns.. he approaches being a businessman like creating a royal dynasty. I think Branson will probably be too busy sending people into space in the next few decades. I'm sure he could if he wanted though... (it'd be nice if he paid some tax in the process)

I'm really surprised by them backing out of the BSkyB bid... I could totally understand them getting rid of the papers (at least selling them if not closing them) as they're going to be a weight around their neck in years to come... but you'd think TV and the Internet would be priorities... I think you're right... it'll be back on the cards once this has died down a bit.

Now is a good time for the Government to slip something past us.

Now certainly isn't the time to forget pensions, NHS plans etc.

Before the redirect, they put up a fake story about Murdoch committing suicide.

Lulzsec doing something actually funny and productive, I like where this is going.
