In all seriousness though, do you 'officially' know she has a boyfriend or did she give it to you without mentioning him? Makes a fair old difference... you could be pretty deep in the friend zone, here.

Anyway, here's my current predicament. I started uni just over a month ago and things are great; feeling genuinely happy and in general life is good. In my psychology class and English class (also in my tutorials) there is this girl. She's tall, about my height - 5'9" ish - and kind of slim. She has short but really stylish hair, dark brown with stunning eyes. She initiated conversation with me first in our first psychology tutorial - which is significantly smaller than the lecture class - and since then we always look to sit together in the main lecture theatre of around 300 students, cute right? I'm at the stage now where I feel confident enough to ask her if she'd like to go out at the weekend because we both seem to be into the same things as far as music and clubs go. One thing that I reckon is holding me back is my appearance. Im not the slimmest of dudes but I have lost a bit of weight recently thanks to having my body fucked by Outlook festival and eating less and more healthily since moving to uni. She is gorgeous, with a great personality but I don't know if she wants to be more than friends and how I find out... I'm still trying to get her number.

Why not ask her? You can find out if the number is fake pretty easily. Someone giving you their number doesn't mean they want your children though, so I wouldn't read too much into it without many more signs. Even so I would hope you respect their relationship, but yeah I'm pretty idealistic I guess. If you did call (not sure if you were being hypothetical) then there could be many reasons including not wanting her guy to get suspicious, which means she probably likes him. Or yeah could just be fake.
