Did anyone follow that "Anonymous" soundcloud thing? Where tunes would be submitted and the selector would upload them anonymously and reveal the artist two weeks later?
I thought it was brilliant, until the creator's true intentions were exposed as he proceeded to gobble up DJ sets on the back of other lesser-known people without even DJing (through that outlet) himself.
The opportunism sickened me.

The fact he now heads the soundcloud/facebook page with a picture of his own face takes the fucking cake imo.

I was on his facebook other day, and he was moaning about labels asking him to take tunes down, as they had now signed them. His bug was that if it wasnt for him then those tunes wouldnt be known and subsequently signed to their label, and that it ruins the series as numbers will be missing.
But yeah like you say, he does this unknown thing, then starts doing sets off the back of simply uploading other peoples tunes and now reveals himself cos he wants everyone to know who he is!
And yeah all the tunes are shite anyway haha, well not all, but im not gonna go on there to find music. I was thinking of sending things in before, but never did haha

Tbh, he seems like some UKFesque character who would promo you unless you had a follow count in the high hundreds to low thousands at least.

Yeah, this pretty much, he's starting his own festival now with some of the biggest names in the underground haha, big up for keeping it "unknown". Most of the tunes were so easy to identify because they came from people that were fairly known anyway.
That "Unknown" that has had a couple of vinyl releases on Champion Sound (I think that's what the label is called) makes me laugh, whenever I've seen him talking about himself, he just goes on and on about how unknown he is.
For some people like Sangam, they have absolutely no interest in the "face" side of things, but for those "Unknown" above, well, just calling yourself "Unknown" shows you why they're doing it...

yeah the whole anonymous vibe is getting to be a bit of a bad joke
i feel like some people are way too worried and fussy about their 'image'.. It's so calculated and fake.

Exactly what I thought. Tbh I'm surprised ukf doesn't have a flavour of the month bass music/juke/knackered house/techbro channel

that unknown page put one of my tunes up a while ago when it first started, seemed like an allright guy allthough i think i was dealing with a bloke called kane not josh, anyway, since then the page seems to be filled with fairly bland disclosure rip-offs.
i'll also add that the whole anonymous thing is getting very boring, as is not telling people who tunes are by in radio shows
