I've had them on a loop for 2 hours straight now. Love them, and can't wait to hear the rest.

Second, they sound like painting-by-numbers burial rip offs with bait chord progressions and bait vocals. Plus, the snare alone on Come Down To Us... if that's Burial I will snap every one of his records that I own

Plus, check this Reid guy - 12 posts and all about Burial
That's only because I'm a huge fan of him. Btw relax guys, for those whom did not like the clips and are thinking this is a hoax I hate to disappoint you but this is the real deal, since those clips were actually taken from the official www.hyperdub.net, they weren't made publicly available, but they can be traced back to the site, it has nothing to do with amazon at all, amazonaws is just the cloud (host) that a lot of music sites use for previews.

he's right and the samples on hyperdub's site start at 0:00 and i guess they're 2 minutes long.

But what the hell man, you was thinking that Reid made it and started this??:D

There are cats out there doing their best to imitate Burial. I could name names, but we all know them. I'll just say one, since he pretty much admitted straight up his intent as a sort of tribute: Volor Flex. Yet none of them come as close to replicating Burial's sound as these clips do. If it's not Burial, it's the best imitation I've ever heard.

My theory is that if it is a hoax, it's one perpetrated by Hyperdub and Burial himself. Anyway, this mystery has got us all intrigued. ;-)

I do love these clips though.

lol I would never do such a thing, it is already heartbreaking having to wait that long to get a Burial fix, let alone have someone come up with such an elaborate hoax, but like I stated on my previous post, the clips are real and are from HYPERDUB.NET, unless of course like someone just said Kode9 could have put those clips in there on purpose for people to hear and get confused, maybe not, as far as I'm aware Kode9 doesn't deal with the site himself so it could had been a mistake and of course Kode9 found out and had them take the clips down.

I just went to hyperdub.net, and typed in "rival dealer" in the search. It'll take you to a page with two links:

Tracks
Burlal - Rival Dealer
Burlal - Rival Dealer

- but when you click on them, it says, "Sorry but the release HDB080 is not currently available."

I did the same thing for Hiders and Come Down to Us, and got 2 links for each track, with the same message above when I tried to play them.

Check it: http://www.hyperdub.net/search/index/rival%20dealer

has no one thought it could just be kode or someone at hyperdub trolling. you look at the length of the Boards Of Canada viral marketing earlier this year, it'd be no surprise for packs of rabid burial fans to chase the same tail but for hyperdub to have a bit of fun with it

Let's find some conspiracy, :w: the guy's site who put up that review was designed by the same webdesigner as hyperdub's. O fuark.

Rival Dealer is heavy as fuck. Love Come Down To Us aswell. Hiders is a funny one, I think it will grow on though after a couple of listens on a come down.
Be interesting to hear what the other 22 minutes are like.

Oscar i think i'd probably have to snap at least two of mine. Mate that first tune samples some eggy pop-juke tune from 2011, even the vocals are from the same part of the sample. theres no way. the melody is atrocious sounds like a leftover from a drake album that drake wasnt even keen on. the break in the last tune is terrible. the more i listen the more it's dawning on me how much i dislike it. This can't be Burial.

Yeah the more I listen the less I believe these can be real. The little speech samples are painful too. It's like someone made a parody of his last EP by time stretching a load of pop and plonking samples on top.

I want Burial from 2006-2007 badly and just as much as most of you do, but not because this sounds way different than that it means this is a hoax, we all knew since Kindred that Burial's music will never be the same as it once was, and the only thing we can hope for is releases of tunes such as Feral, Untitled 2, Lambeth, Speedball2, etc but since that is not ever happening then we might as well face the facts, I know I sure try lol but soon as I hear 'new Burial release' I can't help getting my hopes up.

i dont expect the guy to keep making 1000 south london boroughs until 2021, i have absolutely no problem with "new" burial, the sounds of kindred, truant, etc were all really fresh and among my favorite releases of the years they came out. imo he was doing it just right, pursuing new directions that were pretty different from the old stuff

couldnt be more disappointed by this... i can only hope that the remainders of those tracks sound much different
