Very, very much impressed with all the tunes. I really love the diversity of styles/sounds a'gwaan too.
JizzMan wrote:alpha that bass is a very nice plane to ride on. I like the percussive switch halfway through too. its like Death Grips went slightly hippie, I like it. maybe work on the melody on the lead a bit more? cos the first time it came round it sounded a bit awkward to me
Awkward how? (Bear in mind I banged this all out in 3 hours from a loop I had lying around, no quantization on the lead melody, and under the influence of a large amount of THC. Which is not so much an excuse as explanation. :6: )

About to tuck into NWJ's DSF42 pack now. -q-

I dunno, the contrast just seemed a bit jarring, like the rest of the beat is raw and pretty fuckin hench but the lead... it was fine the second time it came round though, so i think its just the way it comes in more than anything, once it settles in its quite a nice melodic contrast

Interstellar Space vs. Bitches Brew.

SunkLo, have you ever heard Coltrane's Interstellar Space? You mentioned A Love Supreme before for harmonic reasons, but Interstellar Space is one of Trane's most out albums.

Bit too out for me. Definitely some peyote going on there. I prefer a bit less chaos.

Think I included, "Record the crickets"

She and I go out on sound gathering escapades. Gentlemen, I know we love making music, but make babies as soon as you can support them. Your name will be added to the book of life.
