I worked through from 9am to 7am yesterday/today. Apart from a spot of SubFM for AD+Whistla and Rinse for Braiden, all I listened to was this. It's bloody brilliant.

It sounded amazing through the office system, knowing no-one else was in the building for hours and I can't even say how good it was when I went for a wander through the city at 5am with it playing on my ipod.

I have to get some more sleep now.

just listened to the album in full and am very, very impressed (once again)

and I'll say this...

I've been making records for around 16 years now and I would sell my soul to the devil himself to have just made one tune as good as 'Archangel'

that tune is just...

i've listened to it five or six times a day since first thing Monday (thank you Emusic) and while I liked it a lot the first time, it is growing more and more on me with every listen.

the vocals are really soulful, it's great that he's succeeded in his intention to make something really light and glowing with a necessary bit of darkness thrown in. Even the drums, with the homemade aspect turnd up a little bit too far, sound great after a couple of listens.

Whoever said that about it sounding good as a complete album was dead on too, Ghost Hardware was a bit weak as a release but in the context of this album, it's perfect.

Favourite tracks are Etched Headplate and Near Dark. Archangel has amazing layers of sound. Raver is great but I can imagine it getting a bit much

had it on repeat steady for days, doesn't feel like i'll ever tire of it... just feeling sorta bagged cos it's so heavy... like binging on a new drug

i realized yesterday that this plays out a love story from beginning to end...

?!

I think the album's very good but I still think Ghost Hardware sticks out with Archangel as the standout by quite a margin.

There is a definite theme, but i dunno if it is a story. Definite infidelity / lost love vibes though, amazed me when someone said they wanted archangel played at their wedding... Songs with "never trusted you" in the lyrics generally aren't good for that kinda thing

I love the sample at the beginning of etched headplate, sounds like it came off a documentary or something, but it seems so heartfelt and concerned.

Although if it is a story, raver seems like a fairly happy ending

it's an album of love songs! oh no! :o ha! such an alien album, but such a human one at the same time. really hits a lot of chords.

speaking of "alien" anybody else notice the creepy pads on track 1 are from the movie "alien" (maybe "aliens").

I like the album for what it is. Very distinct sounds here. I don't even care that many samples return here throught the tracks etc. Still overall a fairly cohesive deal.

For me it's all about RAVER however, since I haven't ever been into 4/4 kick drum music, it makes me wonder what I may have been missing out on in the last few years. Is there anything anyone can think of that even REMOTELY resembles the vibes on this track? I need educationz. Thanks.

Can someone fill me in on the incorrect track listing? I still don't know which tunes are which as my vinyl pressing (which is fine) has the incorrect track listing on it! Should I refer to the CD or is that fucked too?

Aw, why worry about it, it'll make talking about it more confusing. Confusion's good.
