actually it doesnt, my mate's dad (who's a blooming surgeon general thing of a big london hosptial) used to make punches with it.... you just have to be very careful and know what you're doing
well yeah that's because he mixed it. drink it straight and it'll be a different story

this morning i had one of those perfect coffee bliss moments.... i overslept which meant i had to take a really convoluted route to london with loadsa changes. I dunno if anyone noticed but the UK turned all siberian on us overnight... which i didnt realise as i got ready and ran out the door.
Standing on various platforms in the wee hours in short jeans, a long sleeved tshirt and a really useless jacket that didnt do up, was a bit pert to say the least.... chasing sun beams to try and warm up a little... until i spied a coffee shop on east croydon platform....
grande americano with 2 extra shots - i love you for saving me... not only do you wake me up, you warm me up inside and out

Sorry but anyone obsessed over coffee is usually dumb. Not saying all of you are but of those I've met that are I've found them to be all completely fucking dumb.
Most of that starbucks/nero is utter shit anyway.
I have Nespresso but don't drink too much of it. The odd morning/evening when I want a little boost.

I don't like coffee, but I read an article a while back which speculated through some fairly nifty statistics that coffee use was almost directly proportional to the advance of civilisation - in times of lots of people drinking coffee, societies tend to move forward more rapidly.
I'd like to like coffee, but it's just too hot and disgusting.

To those saying Coffee is too hot, I dont understand. Tea is also made with boiling water, as is Hot Chocolate. Let it cool down if thats the case, or get a god awfull latte.
Two cups of strong filter coffee within an hour or waking up makes my day, love the smell of it brewing and the taste. After a meal is great aswell, takes the edge of any hunger you might still be feeling untill the food settles.
No doubt i'd drink it all day if i could find a decent priced place selling Fairtrade brew.
