djanalog wrote:Is it too late to book accommodation through exodus? Sent my form off on Friday and haven't heard anything, I know its been bank holiday but starting to panic and thinking about booking private through sunturist.
Any help would be much appreciated :)
hey. theres been big delays for the last few weeks, we got ours sorted after 7 days but a mate of mines enquiry took longer, hes got worried too but then heard from them just a day ago. i wouldnt expect a reply so soon after friday. aparently there is loads of accomodation available, its just taking them a while to process it, thats all.
having said that, booking private through sunturist would put your mind at rest straight away, you could even ring them direct from the number off their website.
good luck!

V2Schneider wrote:Hey does anyone know why Mikey Dread is still on the Exodus line-up? He died last year but it would be amazing to see him resurrected though. Just wanted to check whether it's Channel One in memory of Mikey Dread or whatever, or whether RAS KAYLEB will be running the soundsystem.

Whatever happens I'll be raising a toast to Mistah Campbell, Dread at the Controls.
Differents Mikey Dread, the one who died last year was michael dread campbell aka Mikey dread, the man behind Dread At The Control Label etc...the selector of Channel One sound system is also called Mikey dread but different guy, Ras Kayleb on the mic.

channel one was the highlight of carnival for me, even though it was a bit too busy.

Im a bit astounded that people still haven't sorted their accomodation out yet :o

Cheers Bouyaka, just got momentarily confused there. I think I'll be spending more time at the dub soundsystems, at least during the day anyway

Does anyone know what transport is available from Trieste to Novalja (the site)?

Flights to trieste or Ancora are still lower than £100 return... i'm guessing that's the cheapest available?

You can get a coach from Trieste in to Croatia (can't remember exactly where ill find out later) and then from Croatia you can either keep on the bus or take a ferry in to Novalja (ferry is like £4-5 it's what i'm doing)

I know you can get a bus from Trieste to Rijeka, and a bus from Rijeka to Novalja. I imagine it shouldn't be too expensive

buses finish running just as your flight lands. we are flying in on the wednesday at 8.40 and we're depending on private rented bus.

i'd say your best bet is chat to others on the flight goin to novalja and rent a minivan. its around 25 euro pp if you have around 15 people. just google the hire companies in zadar.

I'm on that flight (mon 7th stansted-zadar) organised a transfer for 5 people that apparently costs 24 euros each 120 euros total

I'd like to add a question as well: does anybody know where the buses from Zadar to Novalja leave from? I'd like to take one of these:

http://www.tz-novalja.hr/novosti/voznired/autobus1.pdf

Do they leave from the airport? And if not, how far is the bus station away?

Thanks in advance! 8)
