AMC announced in a joint statement with Sony Pictures TV today that they are moving forward with “Breaking Bad” spinoff “Better Call Saul.” The network and studio have so far reached a licensing agreement for the hourlong drama.
New series will serve as a prequel to “Breaking Bad” and center on Saul Goodman, the attorney that eventually becomes Walter White’s lawyer. Bob Odenkirk, who plays Goodman on the parent series, will star in the spinoff, with Peter Gould spearheading the project.
Program will hail from Sony Pictures TV, the studio behind “Breaking Bad,” and Vince Gilligan will remain involved in the creative process of the spinoff.
The series finale of “Breaking Bad” will air Sept. 29 on AMC.

It can be amazing. Something I'd love watching. But I'm afraid they'll try to associate it with BB too much and lazily add too many unnecessary references to the show and pointless cameos.
Hope to be proven wrong tho', but AMC's gonna wanna milk that badboy til it's dry.

god what if it they decided to just let bob odenkirk's humor pair with saul like in breaking bad but focus on that aspect rather than the drama of breaking bad? could be something special.. throw some david cross in there..

i mean i guess it is the craziest just in terms of big shit going down (hank, jr finding out, walt leaving his family, etc) but it just didnt feel as crazy as some others. i know last episode had me going "what the fuuuuuuuck" with my toes curled up way more than this one did. or the season 4 finale, that was tense as hell.
maybe it's just cause i was already expecting a lot of the events of this episode to happen. nothing really surprised me. last episode was really the one that set all these things up. it was only a matter of time for hank to die, for jr to find out, for walt to become a fugitive.
