@jizzman
dig this sample :3 is this a new versoin of an old one? sounds familiar. has def a lofi vibe hm maybe beef it up just a tiny bit more has a wierd workig groove for sure. haha hard to say what could be dif maybe some more elements here and there ?
@yilan
feel this break maybe for me everything could be just a tad more in your face but the elements are all there especially those wierd percs that come in the front at 3 50 maybe bring them bit more like this earlier and i would love to hear some oldschool vocoder shit on top of this like planet rock

Yilan, don't listen to this guy, he will try to put morphed vocoder voices on EVERYTHING.

BudSpencerTron:
1st tune - wasn't sure about you using such a well known vocal for a sample but you did some cool stuff with it and it didn't feel at all indebted to the sampled song, props. Whole thing seemed to have good vibe but kept me interested with the right amount of variation and subtle glitches and stuff, but yeah this definitely needs some sort of overall structure. production wise i can't fault it, better than your 2nd tune. What did you use for those hi hat type sounds? sounds like a really hi pitched up kick (or even a laser sound?)
2nd tune - not sure whats going on here, no way near as good as the prev one! redeeming feature = that reverby hit sound it drops down to around 1.25 sounds nice, especially when filtered out. but you don't realise notice it with the organ elsewhere
JIZZY:
haha that intro sounded like something my filipino mum sings at karaoke lol. I'm a big fan of taking anything that might be perceived as "too" anything e.g. cheesy and somehow making it work like you've done. appropriate title/10. I feel the drums could have a bit more life to them but from a technical perspective I have no idea what that involves. vocal spoken bits are nice and unexpected
feedback on my tune:
@nowaysj: thanks man, haha its 126bpm which aint too slow, I actually try speeding it up to about 130 but the slow attack on the pads/strings made those parts a bit messy. In my head those hits would've sounded like massive ominous inception booms. like massive droning heavy beasts but i couldn't really figure out how so i left it with what was at hand. I'm not really a fan of them tbh, i could replace it with some other part/sample at the start of those bars.
@budspencertron
thanks mate, yeah i hugely struggle making anything hit hard in any music i do, just don't have enough grasp on mixing and understanding compression etc so any pointers are appreciated. Yeah those weird percs kind of became my fav part of the track as added some variation to them. i think that whole mid section is a bit shit (with the stabs and hits) so i might try and do some crazy stuff with the percs there instead. haha i would not have thought to add vocoder stuff at all. massive tune you linked though but don't think i could pull it off lol.
@nowasyj - duly noted haha, i must get out that vocoder that came with my microkorg, not touched that in years
and finally..
@m8son get your shit together bruv i know you must be back home chilling!

:3 haha yeah the second one is just an idea( i really do like parts of it like the melody of the organ and shit maybe i cut it dif dif acapella not sure yet) basically both are just ideas really takes ages for me to sculpt a finished tune
but yeah i agree on most just not sure if i wanna make the first one into a real song i do like it as a kinda introesc loosely strung together thing
yilan wrote:thanks mate, yeah i hugely struggle making anything hit hard in any music i do, just don't have enough grasp on mixing and understanding compression etc so any pointers are appreciated
hm yeah its the tuffest part for sure but in your tune for example imo you could raise the main elements a good few db maybe watching those sharp freq while doing add a tad more punsh to the bassdrum i dunno than again it has a nice oldschool feel hence my vocoder idea
