you don't build your own sound system (which takes you three or more years) and use it only every other month. after all travelling with your whole sound is one of the main ideas in sound system culture. what vivek does in dubstep is pretty much a whole new level.

I never really said it shouldnt be moved about I was just highlighting a potential major change in the night. I kinda meant it as a vibe thing based on its current location.

I dont live in London myself I live in Manchester/Huddersfield so to go to the night I had to travel myself. Then I get into LDN and mooch about the tube to North London basically out in the stix in comparison to any real major club in London. I turned up and its the same kinda venue i'd expect my uncles 40th birthday to be held but its filled with heads who have made the journey and im embraced by a cloud of potent peng and there is instantly a vibe within everyone. That shit isnt going to happen in 95% of other venues I tell you now.

Shit i heard people had come from NZ and Aus amongst places like Belgium and The Netherlands to the one I went too. Insane as fuck and what a journey and it all adds to the night being something different and unique. I agree London gets a lot of the bigger nights but its the birthplace and the capital of the country in which the scene emerged. For me theres only really Leeds that can rival its scene to extent and that would be pushing it... a lot.

Tufnell Park is an area of North London that hugs the borders of the Boroughs of Islington and Camden. In the heart of the area there’s a venue called the Tufnell Park Dome, a space described as “Village hall – meets school hall – meets dirty back end of a pub.” Away from trendy East-end basements and the “secret Shoreditch warehouse” revival, dubstep spearhead V.I.V.E.K has been taking things back-to-basics with his hand-built and custom-tuned ‘System’. There are no line-up announcements, DJ booth, relentless queues, fancy decor or light show. No checking-in, i-phonographers or feed refreshing – the focus is purely on sound and vibe. People of all walks of life are coming together to get stuck in on the dancefloor and be healed by the frequencies on offer.

"We live in a world where you can been seen as a specific type of person based on the perception you give, and the appearance you present. But these two instances can be a total fabrication. Keep it real as you’re only lying to yourself!”

really disagree with everyone saying that system shouldnt put on a full roots/dub dance. i admit there are other more legendary places for that in london (shaka at the dome, uni of dub etc) but sachin is a top selector, got nuff dubplates. would be more than happy to hear him and viv spinning roots all night, would do good for the dub and roots scenes aswell as would educate alot of heads that dont know and anyway some of the dub tunes at the most recent system were the best tunes played that night in my opinion! Proper soundsystem dances dont come that often in this day and age atleast nowhere near as many as there used to be, we need more!! too many average nights these days playing average music. dub is where its at!

which is why ppl reach system for that 140 sound and to hear new dubs on a proper system in a good environment. fwd isn't what it used to be and dmz barely exists in london, this is where all the heads reach now. unlike all the other dub nights in london and at the dome itself, there isn't anywhere else like system to hear the sound that this night was intended for.

imo the format of the night is already perfect anyway. roots then str8 darkness.

Even though I disagree I wouldn't mind knowing some of the tunes that were played, some proper shit it was indeed

Yeah this pretty much sums it up for me, SYSTEM is the only regular night for decent dubstep now.

it's a brilliant tune for facebook photo-time tbf.

but nah it's just a suggestion for people making the trip down to system init.
system finishes early and transport doesn't start till well after, so a late fabric sesh is deya.
