A long interview here with Damo/Damien Russell/Toasty? I'm guessing it is the same person as he mentions releases on dance labels and is from Brighton. He also says that he is producing music for adverts but that he is 27 years old.... i think this interview is from around 2003 as that is when the demo he is talking about was released.... http://alive.atari.org/alive7/damo.php He also links to a track at the end (sadly now not online) but it is from a site (TX-RX) which used to be Toasty's email address so i am pretty sure it is the same guy.

I have no idea about what he is talking about but it would appear he worked with the Reservoir Gods crew and this is a video of Grimey in action

It would appear from further reading that this same Damo is indeed releasing ChipTune type stuff and his latest track which was 'released' was called Deep Blue http://www.discogs.com/Various-Seven/release/2815618

Here is the track.... Maybe got a bit of a Toasty vibes?

Some songs here http://www.scenemusic.net/demovibes/artist/2526/

Infact it certainly seems to be as one of the tunes mentioned on the Scenemusic link is called Nailvarnish which is listed on a dodgy site i won't link to as Damo (Toastyboy). It is a free download from there although the track is from 2003 so an older on but it is recognisably Toasty (although at dnb tempo). I think he even uses the same snare roll as on Like Sun in that one.

And Toasty does brostep??

lol surely it isn't him although the track is quite messed up and there are some similarities in how Toasty used to structure his tunes..... the snare sound also. hmmmmm i'll leave that one to the detectives!

Aah. It's in the bundle knocking about in this thread (that he gave away himself). Grab it if you haven't done so already! It's amazing.

Haha herb. I have Housenit but on cd which toasty sent me alongside a load of other bits including some that hardly anyone else has :-)

I know that is a massive big boast but the fact I have exclusive Toasty tracks means I should be king of the world!!!! Hahaha

I did a toasty special on my sub fm show back in 2007. It may be linked earlier in this thread but if you do a google search for threnody toasty special you will find it. It's also downloadable from the sub fm archive at http://www.sub.fm
