I haven't heard the tracks yet (posting from class), but I'm liable to rage anyway. Music should be in a game because the creator wants it, not because the producer happens to be really popular.

yeh i gained a slight respect for him to even attempt a boc cover...

generally, the tunes he's temporarily made for minecraft are decent but nothing special at all, imo he's just not that great

plus he doesnt need all the extra attention when people are like "zOmG u did da MineCwaft muzik!?"

Some of the music in the game already is pretty class. Some of the more melancholic stuff just makes you feel like, what the fuck, I'm in a world eight times the size of earth, alone, building a pirate ship out of giant lego.

Actually just built a pirate ship as well. Started a new save and found a little cove area and started building in it. Tunnels weaving through the cliffs with rooms popping out at the edges.

Might start work on a 1:1 Tracy island soon, that one will actually take some planning I reckon.

honestly i don't see what's wrong with him volunteering to do some music for it, hell i was going to too, it's not like he's asking to be paid for it, just wants to contribute to a game he enjoys and tbh it'd be exposure for him and the game so would be an equally mutually marketing ploy for an indie developer

usually i have the music muted and my own selection playing, but hey i'm not exactly playing the game for it's music

i should up it in it's current state for you to see if you can find any -w-

also should be noted exploring virgin caves late at night in a pitch black room while listening to lovecraft audio books is a brilliant idea

Just use a mapping program? I know on mac, there's a mapper called MCMap Live that lets you pinpoint the location of any block type in your world.

cartograph is as far as i'll go for mapping where i've explored
using a mapper to pinpoint a block type just seems lame and to defeat the purpose of exploring a sandbox world
