Hahaha...
I think it's fair to say they're a conservative bunch when it comes to music. Lots of reaaaally dull folk songs

Bit dry really. Generally peoples response to my tracks has been "I don't understand this kind of music but it seems....nice?"

Mmm, I've noticed. Some of their responses to hearing "future garage" for the first time are hilarious. It's like showing a monkey an Iphone.

It's funny, the whole "it's nice" kind of comment is about all I have to say in regards to the massive heap of generic acoustic/folk stuff on there.
Don't me wrong, I'm not trying to be a complete ass about this, I just enjoy the irony.
Who is up for a Woody Guthry dubstep remix? Or something of the like. Show them how we do?

Yeah, I know what you mean. No disrespect to any of them, mind. Everyone is so painfully polite on there it makes me feel awkward. I almost miss the entire bastard DSF lot
On a side note, is anyone having trouble with their player? Seems mine ain't working no matter which file hosting website I use...

You sure the link you're putting in is a direct link to the mp3? If it doesn't end in .mp3 it won't work.
Mine works fine and I'm using dropbox.

I tried using my drop box, but couldn't quite figure out what I was supposed to do? Might be 'cos I've only got a free account.
Using the direct links on Filefreak as well, but I now reckon it's 'cos I'm using a free account on there as well

Nope, I have a free account on dropbox too. Make sure you put it in the public folder.

Yep, certainly a lot of that "everyone is a delicate wittle flower" stuff going on over at FAWM, lol.
I am super unhappy with what I've got done so far, but as someone suggested earlier if I can't move forward on it today I'm just going to "chuck it up there"

Curious if anyone has changed their usual method of production and if they've learned anything from it?
Personally, I've been working fastter up front. I haven't spent an hour or more on a kick drum before I even have a vague idea of what I'm trying to accomplish big picture-wise. Also, I've started most of my tracks with a bass sound, a pad, or a synth riff. I've enjoyed the results of that. Last, but most importantly, I've been so much better about stuffing things that aren't working in the "junk drawer" and moving on.

Yeah I have, but will say more when it's over, and I am reflecting on FAWM.
