PS3 version is currently pretty broken. Save file gets bigger and bigger as you play and causes fps to drop significantly and gamebreaking bugs etc. Patch is on its way - but it's Bethesda; so no guarantee that it'll actually fix anything

Installed Skyrim to my piece of crap laptop and was pleasantly surprised that it can run it with low/medium settings

Slowly getting into the game. There are too many books to read, I've spent half of my time just reading books hehe.
Still finding it occasionally clunky but getting the hang of it. I keep wanting to wander off in some random direction where I know teh r0xx0rz ph4t l00tz will definitely be hidden instead of going along with the story, so it'll probably take me about 2 years to finish the game.

maybe its because I'm playing it on computer instead of 360, like i did with oblivion, but the menu system is pretty clunky.
sick game. only 3 hours in and I can already tell this will consumer a considerable portion of my free time.

Wispmothers are quite tough. Killed all the wisps, almost got her dead, then she spawned 2 more wispmothers!
Happy I finally got to elven smithing! I've made a tank mage that sets everything on fire and bashes things in the face with a mace! I seem to spend quite a lot of time on smithing and alchemy. Only just hit level 16 though.

im only level 16 and ive pretty much focused on the combat side of things. This game does have some stunning scenery thats for sure. Im not sure if my games slightly bugged though because i became the harbinger of the companions quite quickly but im still getting sent on standard beast killing missions which seems a bit out of place.

Firstly you need to know not to pick up just any worthless object. You'll soon figure out whats worth the weight when you get a few hours in.
Secondly, try to minimize the amount of fast traveling you do. The game is so much more fun and rewarding when you explore.
Lastly, don't worry about wether or not you've chosen the right stats to increase. There's time to get proficient at pretty much every skill.

Get a house as soon as possible to store your items because you'll not be able to carry everything. Failing that drop things on the floor in a safe location rather than storing them in chests because they'll never disapear or be stolen.

Wow really? I must have spent a crapload more time on crafting than I thought!

I did manage to solo a dragon at 14 though so probably not hugely far behind on the combat!
Now someone's gonna say they started soloing dragons at lvl 8 or something...

Learn to assign favourite items, spells and abilities quickly. Forget everything you've ever instinctively used a mouse and the ESC key for.

They put that in in this game so that you could still do quests for your guild after you finish the main questline of the guild.
