I love that new users can't understand this.
this is true. but most people who are like this end up quiting after like 2 months since they can't make anything and have noticed that youtube "wobble" tutorials aren't helping them for shit.Turnipish Thoughts wrote:because everyone and their downs-syndrome uncle can get a pirated copy of any DAW/synth they want in an ettempt to make music. So the production culture is becoming saturated with 'scene kids' that although they would never admit it are attracted to the idea of making Dubstep because of the ego-merit it would bring, yet lack any form of an educated background in music, nor the correct perspective or incentive to actually enter into the world of digital music creation.
They don't want to make music, they want to miraculously make the next big dubstep dance floor smasher, there's an important difference right there.
Don't get me wrong i think the 'underground' access to powerful music creation tools is actually a very very good thing as amazing tallent would more often than not been restricted from realising itself. I don't think every 17 year old Digitaly musical savant has thousands of Dollars to throw at what could easily be a pipe dream. I'm completely and utterly all for people who can't afford and wouldn't have bought otherwise to explore a creative avenue as long as they make no personal monetary gain, and if they get big, support what got them there by going legit before signing any contracts.
But on the other hand it causes a saturation of sheep that actually have no critical interest in the creation of music as an expression of self. They just get wrapped up in the 'idea' of making the kind of music that's the 'in thing'.
There's your answer, imo.
then you're doing it rightHypefiend wrote:as long as I enjoy it then it's good that''s all i do when i produce or all i think about.
