Missed that one - thanks, good read for 5 pages!

Why does every thread about sex end up getting BM'd? It's starting to worry me a bit.
BM Profile wrote:Most active topic: Would you pay for sex?

You missed it AGAIN!!

The part where I switched it back to the concept of females living by proxy through males..

because of a reason...

that reason being the feminist issue of objectification

which is - connected to hypersexualization.

Can we please just split all the BM bits into a new thread?

Although, BM's wading in simply proves my point that random zealous tirades/crusades which no one can make head or tail out of only serve to hurt whatever cause it is she/they were trying to promote. First, learn how to make sense and put your point across in a way that other people can understand. Then, make your point.

Well alot of the responses here seem like well meaning rhetoric...

Does anyone have any personal stories that illustrate the problem...

or is that zealotry?

pretty girls don't have this problem - they benefit from the culture...
Their problems have more to do with constant solicitation..
..which breeds entitlement and nasty throw away attitudes.

I've always considered you in contravention of this;
- Posts on a particular subject that are continually posted to promote a personal agenda. The forum is not a platform for you to impose your views on everyone else.
But hey, what do I know.

Do you ever read your posts back before you hit send to double-check someone that doesn't live inside your brain will understand what the fuck you're trying to say?

You want personal stories to illustrate the problem of well meaning rhetoric on the SNH?

Merely engaging in conversation is hardly zealotry, but barging into an incredibly successful conversation with pictures of glittery dildoes, music videos off YouTube and an incredibly insulting tone (eg. the pornstar/shoeshiner analogy or suggesting pretty women deserve to be laughed at when raped) can easily be mistaken for it.

Honestly, if you took the time to up your communication game as kay suggest above you probably wouldn't find yourself in this situation everytime.... and we wouldn't have to deal with our debates being ruined by you posting inexplicable rubbish 3 posts at a time.

What is it with the post splurges? Perhaps if you read your shit before hitting send you might be able to whittle them down into ONE sensible post at a time.... I doubt you really mean half the stuff you actually end up saying on here... hence all the triple posts and edits.

If you can't be bothered to put some actual thought into your posts, you're going to struggle to gain much respect on a forum where your words absolutely define you.

To be fair, there would only be about 3 threads in the SNH if that was enforced.

wub - I'm just telling what I've experienced...

If telling your view = coloring the issue - then how do you not?

because I assure you - that I am not against other peoples experience...
I read all the time and thoroughly enjoy it.

seems to me like you have a problem with porn and society's view on women's sexuality in general because you are the one concerned about being pretty enough and have let the industry get to you.

to suggest that good looking girls are exempt from the ills of this stuff is ridiculous though

i recall reading that you haven't had sex since 1998, yet feel that you have the right to judge others on their involvement in that realm, and moreover, the kind of consequences it can have on their well-being....

I disagree. There are plenty of other users on here who clearly have an opinion/stance that is apparent through their posts, yet they don't seem to be actively pushing an agenda in the same manner that you are.

Thinking of merging this with Lyons' "Treat women equally...beat them like men!" thread.

yes and yes

we are giving first class tickets for wanking

I had a horrible stuck up cunty teacher who constantly made comments in class that were degrading and offensive
ie every day she said something about fat cows...every class the "fat cow" made an appearance..
She posted pictures on the board of people with hairy forearms to ridicule them..
belalal wrote:to suggest that good looking girls are exempt from the ills of this stuff is ridiculous though
I agree - all that constant attention and superfiscial offers must be warping - mentally..

I completely skipped that - get drunk at keg party/cheese club - score one night stand thing

because - I don't like it

SOME pretty girls benefit. SOME pretty girls are disadvantaged. Very few of the 3.5 billion women on the planet earn a living from pornography. All of them, pretty or not have to deal with living in a largely patriarchal society.

Plenty of less-than-beautiful (IMHO, eye of the beholder and all that) girls do porn, too... there's a massive demand for larger, older or "real" looking women. It really does take all sorts... if you've got the desire to do it, there's probably someone that'll jerk off to you.

You seem to hold the same opinions of pretty girls that you did when you were in high school and they were the Mean Girls. It's probably time to update them... you're an adult and so are they.

That one of the reasons I cracked so hard....

..was in realizing that those shitty high school attitudes had carried on into my adult life..

"My" being the operative word here.

You need to move on, I'm assuming all this happened decades ago?

Seriously... you get one life. Enjoy it. There's absolutely no need to spend it feeling insecure about something as basic as sex... feeling asexual is absolutely fine, but it's no reason to insult other people just because they have different tastes to you. That makes you no better than the bullies who insulted you for being ugly... though they at least had the excuse of being children.

Have you ever thought about talking to someone neutral about your attitudes to pretty girls?
