Halloumi = vegetarian crack. Seriously.
I've done a thing with bits of fried halloumi mixed with slightly charred roasted tomatoes with rosemary and chilli flakes and some green beans. But it's buff just fried with a slice of lemon.

im guessing you mean the jamaican kind. try the levi roots one if you can find it, my mate done it pretty much to that recipe and it was PENG
gotta have a slow cooker tho. and get your goat from the butcher, you might have to buy a whole one....

I made shrimp okonomiyaki and somen for dinner. Very light.
Then I saw my friend's BF make a bibimbap burger for dinner. I got hungry a little. I'll try to make it. I think it's fairly easy.

I grew up in Harlesden, quite a big Caribbean community there, my parents' old neighbours were from that way and used to bring curry goat round every now and then, still the best I've ever had. They gave my mum the recipe when they moved away, will try and find it next time I'm there.

Don't worry if the hollandaise isn't quite as thick as you'd like it to be; it still tastes good. We're operating on the "that much cheese/butter" principle here.

I made okonomiyaki on friday - it turns out that once you've spent some time tracking down the ingredients (taro root, fish flakes, okonomiyaki sauce etc) it's actually really quick and easy to cook (like, chop cabbage, make batter, fry cabbage in batter, stick stuff on top, eat) and unbelievably tasty. Will definitely be doing that again soon.

Do you realise that okonomiyaki means 'as you like it', so you can basically make an omlette out of whatever you want? I heard in Osaka you can get marshmallows on them in shops...

made salmon fishcakes the other day,they were pretty amazing
fresh salmon,poached,4-5 new potatoes, boil them till soft and mash with the salmon, season with salt and pepper, add chopped lemon thyme/basil/tarragon, few dollops of mayo, garlic salt, big squeeze of fresh lemon juice, mix together, coat in egg, roll in breadcrumbs, shallow fry in light olive oil, serve with pesto and salad
absolutely magnificent if i say so myself, only take about 30minutes to do
