no it is not m8!! i agree with u bout piracy being wrong etc.. developers not developing anymore etc... but it is not any where close to armed robbery!! serious think bout what u just said!!

if i walk into dixons and twoc a tv. worth 500 squids that is the same as skankin a DAW of the net!! there is a huge difference when a weapon is used... taking a weapon means u have gone thru certain thought processes meaning u are prepared to cause injury with said weapon... ie.. its pre-meditated..[/quote]

LOLOLO delete thread !!! this forums fukked nowadays ....

Hello, its my turn to "hump the doorknob."

First of all when the major record labels stop charging £15+ for new cd releases etc, we can do buisness again. I have no problem stealing off those greedy bastards.

Software, there is no way on gods green earth that i am suppressing my creativity because i can't aford the excessive prices of software. I am poor, if i wasn't i'd buy it. Why should i stop producing untill i save up a couple of grand which goes in to some rich arse holes pocket?

Lastly, i always buy cds records etc of small labels, i never rip off those who work hard to produce innovative fresh music. I would think most people are of a similar opinion of myself???

Support those who need/deserve it. I refuse to reward the greed of big buisness with my hard earned money.

Peace.

YES! It's illegal, but it's not stealing.
copyright infringement = intellectual property theft

It's a tricky topic cos personally, I couldn't care less about ripping off giant super labels who control their "artists". Would you want to pay £15 for an album?

I wouldn't call anyone who did it a criminal, much as I wouldn't call anyone who parks illegally a criminal. Everybody's broken the law... except maybe nuns.

TBH, I wouldn't even know about dubstep if i hadn't downloaded a couple of tunes.

Would it be wrong if you downloaded a song to sample a bit from it?

if i cant afford to buy something/something is sold out/its not released on vinyl/ i just want to hear it before buying, not a clip, i want to actully listern to the track a few times and see if there's depth to it ill download it. people getting bent out of shape about mp3 sharing are tossers, most people will buy a record if they like the mp3...its just tape swapping for a new generation.

also mp3's are killing the music indusrty which is brilliant, it may leave us diy kids out of pocket for a bit but aslong as you cover costs, and make abit for new equipment and next release, and touring then everythings cool. it migth not mean you can make mega $$$ but it will ultimately make the whole music scene better in the long run

as for the guy who said he'll report someone for sharing mp3's...dude i give up....this country.

one more thing, sorry bit off a dia tribe but...mp3's are spreading music to people who may not get the chance to hear it other wise which is filling up the live events more with true fans and muscis always better live...yea what search said.

Tis a good point.... maybe artists should release more copies of popular tracks. I hate haing to wait til i get paid only to find "Out of stock" on redeye and Juno etc.
