oh come on. by that logic you could just drive around grabbing people behaving in a way that's not the social norm and throwing them in psychiatric wards until it's been made sure they're not actually mentally ill. cause, you know, they very well could be. it's not like you can see that from looking at someone eh?
Ah, fair enough. That warrants arrest imo.wub wrote:This was what the guy posted;
Not really. You can do that just to piss people off. Doesn't mean you have any mental problems, just that you might be a tnuc.pete bubonic wrote:hasezwei wrote:

Can we employ the smallest amount of context here please. Not behaving to the social norms, is hammering Kahn out on my car stereo. Getting dressed up in a pink corset wearing rabbit ears and skateboarding through what is effectively an annual mass funeral is slightly different.
if this is the stage we've got to, then I'm out.ultraspatial wrote:Not really...pete bubonic wrote: ... hammering Kahn out on my car stereo. Getting dressed up in a pink corset wearing rabbit ears and skateboarding through what is effectively an annual mass funeral is slightly different.
Now you're taking things out of context. All I said was that it doesn't mean you have mental issues if you dress up in a pink corset with rabbit ears and skateboard through an annual mass funeral.pete bubonic wrote:if this is the stage we've got to, then I'm out.ultraspatial wrote:Not really...pete bubonic wrote: ... hammering Kahn out on my car stereo. it doesn't, but let's be honest with each other, chances are probably higher than your average joe on the street.ultraspatial wrote:Now you're taking things out of context. calling someone an absolute knob is pretty offensive and hate mongering mate. off to jail with you.Terpit wrote:Look, none of us know about his mental state. He might have started ranting all sorts of psychotic stuff, we don't know so you can't say being sectioned is unnecessary.
Anyway, burning poppies and ruining a memorial service, IMO is hate mongering or whatever you wanna call it and it's also being an absolute knob and should be a criminal offense.

I also think it's incredibly unliklely that he'd be sectioned rather than arrested unless there were real mental health concerns. Mental health beds are more expensive than prison beds
