BTW, I didn't really slice it up, but each file plays a bar long note of C5-C2 with various settings on the Mopho's LPF and Feedback Distortion (the file names describe the parameters pretty well). The dry file is two saw oscillators detuned 10 and -10, 50/50 mix of the oscillators, each oscillator has 50% sub oscillator to give the saws a bit of weight--the others are a variations on that patch.

Weird. No, I don't know the export settings as usually when I record things in Edison I just drag and drop the recording straight into the project, so I've never even looked.

Oh yea. That's gotta be it. FL10 defaults to 24, pretty damn sure.

hircine what soundcard are you using in that setup you posted? a friend's bandmate got a yamaha em-300 and we were thinking about mixing stuff down on it just to see how it ends up sounding but none of us have a soundcard with enough outputs :/

Presonus Firestudio Project, 8 outs, 2 digital outs, midi i/o, 8 pre amped inputs. 2 inputs can be used as DI style instrument inputs.

Take a thunderstorm sample, high pass @ 500 or so add reverb and tape with a slow speed. Adds a nice texture behind the rest of your track and fills it out

I was hoping I could put a brickwall limit the samples to get an idea of the room sound, but it sounds like they're gated?

Picking a sample from an unobvious source that you haven’t heard before and making it fit perfectly in your collage work is extremely rewarding for me. That’s also why I don’t reveal my sample sources, even though I’m asked, and you’d be hard-pressed to find a person who’s passionate about sampling and who’s going to tell your straight away where they got their gems.
Good words to start a cold Monday morning on :Q:

And, dare I say it, I was listening to a Trap (amongst other genres) mixtape that I fucking loved on the way in today;
Soundcloud

BLVCK FRIDVY MIXTAPE

mixed by DASH EXP

01 Fuck The World INTRO (Gucci Mane x Future)
02 ƱZ x CRNKN – Booty 2 The Ground
03 Dash EXP vs Tony Goods – Lose it (VIP Mix)
04 Antiserum & Djunya – Soul Gravy
05 Suzie Homewrecker – M.O.E. (Token Remix)
06 Juicy J – U Trippy Mane (Huggy Bear Remix)
07 ETC!ETC! & Brillz – Swoop
08 Mista Hyde – G#1
09 Rick Ross vs ƱZ – Hustlin (Big Once’s Blend)
10 Steve Starks – Room Keys & Bitches
11 Rockie Fresh – You A Lie (CRNKN & Branchez Remix)
12 Abrasion Equation – Dark Matter (Dash EXP Remix)
13 Sam Tiba – Dem Thirsty
14 Quantic – Mishaps Happening (Flux Pavillion Remix)
15 Tyga – Lap Dance (JWLS Bootleg)
16 Mykki Blanco – Haze.Boogie.Life
17 Dash EXP – Trimmin’
18 Dash EXP – Emergency
19 Son of Kick x Foreign Beggars x Virus Syndicate – EOW (Starkey Remix)
20 Kanji Kinetic – Jiinx
21 Starkey – DPMO ft Trim
22 ¡El Cucuy! – Thug Theogony

^^ This has single handedly made me want to listen to good Trap again, after having it pretty much ruined for me during the last 4 months in the Dubs board.
