Stars are better than those fuchsia circles. They should really be Benga gunfingers though.
Also, why even bother with the rating under the threads? It provides no real useful information. This thread's total biggups are x percent of the total biggups of the thread with the most biggups. Obviously the big rolling threads are gonna have way more than small specific threads.

Yep that's what I've been saying since the beginning. 500-page threads are obviously gonna have the most biggups, so it's essentially an indicator of how long the thread is.

just switch to DSF skin where we have already solved all your issues carefully

DSF skin is hideous imo. Literally gives me a headache. Not like "figuratively" literally. Literally literally.

Yep or maybe a script that auto-resizes them? Kind of a pain to have to reupload to imgur to resize when it's just 50 pixels too big.
Bigger avatars would be nice as well. Maybe increase the limit after a certain number of posts so we don't waste server space on throwaway new accounts that get abandoned after a month. An animated 100px av takes way more space than a static one that's say 150x190 anyway. Maybe make the limit x# of pixels or x MB, whichever one is bigger (not smaller like it is now I think) There'd still probably have to be a hard cap on dimensions so pages don't get stretched, but an extra bit of space would be nice to play with. Just an idea.

ideas for smileys that i would use:
-shrugging smiley, something like this: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ getting the arms up
-oops/embarrassed smiley with hand on mouth, like this:

The Custom CSS is now available!
Short how-to:
1) style the DSF skin with CSS and save it to a file
2) upload somewhere on the web your CSS file (*)
3) put the link to the CSS file inside your profile: UCP > Profile > Custom CSS (with http(s)://)
4) refresh your browser cache - and that's it!
(*) External CSS file must be accessible from the web - you can do it with
Dropbox,
Google Drive or almost any other file hosting service (they need to provide public url to the uploaded .css file). For the style competition I'll create upload form for CSS files, but for now use your own hosting solution.
Example: change background color to white:
Save this code
Code: Select all
.rt-bg { background-color: white; }
to custom-dsf.css and upload it somewhere. Put the URL of the file inside your Profile:
For the style competition we will define some rules (i.e. you shouldn't block ads and other content), but for now you can do whatever you want.
(I'll try to fix this image size issue ASAP)

you could at least bump the size to 1024x1024 as that's quite a common resolution.

would it be possible to make it so that you could unsubscribe from threads so that they no longer show up in "View your posts"???

It's not possible because phpBB
doesn't allow this. There is of course an alternative solution: use bookmarks for your topics, and remove them after you are no longer interested. It's not perfect but the result is the same.
