All the hype talk about leaving without actually doing so belongs in the Cringe thread.

So as much as the ban offer is in jest (I'm not going to ban anyone), the SNH and GD is getting swamped by trolling, malicious posting and weak #bants. There's VERY few active mods left now ( I think mainly because they're tired of getting shit on or dealing with the maddest egos) and those of us still here are trying our betestestest to make as many people happy as possible.

Certain members packing up, leaving the forum to find pastures a new is good thing. The forum might be a bit quieter but it'll survive and I imagine everyone will get on a bit better.

Not to add fuel to this dungfire but hafta wonder if site monetization is a factor in any way; I mean, someone's gotta pay the domain renewal fee, maybe server expenses and what have you... Which may not be anything exorbitant but if there's a nudge towards shuttering the place (new member ban, encouraging the acerbic to split)...

There was a de facto new member ban anyway, wasn't there?

And I don't know if it was in this thread or another but it was said that registration is closed to stop the spam bots (idk why they don't add a captcha?)

I think pete said up there its because they dont have enough active mods to babysit all the trolling.
