We've had a firm rule about anti religious images since the beginning of this site. You guys all know better than to post things like that. Especially considering the recent events in the world. We respect religions here. Show some decency. This thread is locked down temporarily for admin reasons.

Doesn't matter if you found it or made it. You posted it. Totally unacceptable.

I have to wonder if there would have been such an issue if it had been a giant falafel.

mecca is a symbol of islam. it's on coins, stamps, posters, etc. in that religion it's the equivalent of the vatican or the wailing wall. i received pm complaints about your photoshop specifically.

i'm well aware of what mecca is, ta. as i said, the image wasn't intended to offend and i'm sure most people realised that.

also i do think this whole scandal kicked up by that pic is a bit ridiculous, agreed it may have caused offence, but it wasn't done intentionally, i am sure that neither alfie nor festy set out with the intention of offending people with it, fair enough to delete it but to introduce final warnings and threats of banning is a bit OTT, especially as it was their first 'offence' so to speak

And I'm pretty sure if someone found it offensive they could have just said and it would have been taken down. We're not barbarians you know

lol, i think it would have been much simpler to take down the pic and send the creator a quick PM telling him to try and avoid doing that kind of thing, bringing this shit out in the public has made it much more controversial, and its not necessarily as cut and dry as "don't do it", as everyone is clearly gonna voice their opinion on it, and many of them probably won't be very popular with some, thus probably leading to more people taking offense over stuff
if that makes sense?
