i had to do less to the bass than anything else to make it work. i like the bass samples, not so keen on the vocals but its all about how much fun it is to make the tune. and i'm finding it heaps of fun!

I have just started this. I don't really know anything about Dubstep, except it 'has' to be 138!!! Anyway, I'm looking forward to winning this
Is there any other rule to Dubstep except the speed??? Does it have to have a wobbly B line? My tune doesn't really require one

there's no rules to dubstep at all. most tracks are at 140bpm, but there are plenty that aren't. make what you interpret to be dubstep.

EDIT: Not too sure about the mixdown tho... On my headfones and foldback monitors it sounded sweet... But i played it on my shit shit shit computer speakers and the bass just farted and crunched away and killed the rest of the sounds... Hope my tune sounds alright on all your systems.. If anyone with good monitors could give us some pointers or just what stands out as being shit i'd be heaps appreciative

This has taught me so much about taking a sample and manipulating it, even if I get 0 votes, I am still proud of my tune o/

Done : )
Fairly happy with it I think.
Should be good to hear similarities and differences in each others tracks.

If I get 0 votes I quit the forum. haha
Seriously tho, I think some of the tracks will be of a pretty high standard looking through at some of the names who've expressed intrest. Heaps keen to hear all of your interpretations
And i've learnt stuff doing each of these contests, even tho this is the first time i've sent my tune in... Gotta love being forced to work within boundries as far as music goes, it can push a bit more out of yourself
