there is a massive difference between using drugs to make you enjoy something and using drugs to complement something you are already enjoying, its plain to see that all of us enjoy dubstep, and go to nights and get fucked or stay completely sober respectively depending on how we feel, but i would say people on here only take drugs to complement the experience rather than force it[/b]

one of their main blunders i think is that they spend thousands of pounds and months of time constructing reports about climate change etc. that essentially tell us things we already knew about it, all the while using them to stall actually taking any action

the problem with most western governments' approaches to climate change is that they've seen it as an excuse to make shitloads of money off people in the name of environmentalism. rather than raising taxes on air travel or charging people who drive cars in london, money should be spent on research into renewable energy.

stuff like this is what we should be doing

this is only one of our many problems. the amount of time 'we have left' before it tips over is never gonna be accurate. how ever long they say we have,we have alot less. wouldnt wanna create mass hysteria too soon. singling out individual problems is what distracts people.

on another note, our whole existence is illogical and irrational...

Irresponsible capitalism, certainly. But capitalism could be sustainable if it's tempered by common sense and responsibility.
When has capitalism ever been responsible?

not sure if youre being sarcastic or not.

but it is the current capitalist structure that has enabled us to mass consume way beyond our fair share of the planets resources. americans alone consume 1/3rd of the earths resources !!!! sure the brits arnt all that much better, either :p

we are rightfully raping the planet, and enjoying every minute of it. haha

i can talk for hours about how capitalism tempered with by common sense and responsibility is an impossible ideal.

like throwing a pebble to the moon impossible.

like water making its way to the bottom of a waterfall, evil and corruption will find its way to the top of any capitalist system

it's never been practiced before, granted, by why's it necessarily impossible?

is that not a failure on the part of capitalists rather than a flaw with the capitalist model though

not to mention that the very nature of capitalism fundamentally corrupts all who participate. and if you choose not to participate you're considered a piece of shit.

people who don't want jobs or riches are somehow less valuable humans than those who strive to overconsume and destroy

its not anybody's failure. its the nature of humanity.
