one of their main blunders i think is that they spend thousands of pounds and months of time constructing reports about climate change etc. that essentially tell us things we already knew about it, all the while using them to stall actually taking any action

the problem with most western governments' approaches to climate change is that they've seen it as an excuse to make shitloads of money off people in the name of environmentalism. rather than raising taxes on air travel or charging people who drive cars in london, money should be spent on research into renewable energy.

ive learnt more in this past 20 minutes of reading this thread about the planet then i did throughout school.
brainy people on here.

this is only one of our many problems. the amount of time 'we have left' before it tips over is never gonna be accurate. how ever long they say we have,we have alot less. wouldnt wanna create mass hysteria too soon. singling out individual problems is what distracts people.

on another note, our whole existence is illogical and irrational...

but it is the current capitalist structure that has enabled us to mass consume way beyond our fair share of the planets resources. americans alone consume 1/3rd of the earths resources !!!! sure the brits arnt all that much better, either :p
