I think we need more defined and stornger definitions for Love, it is too broad a word encompassing many different feelings. It is also too easily thrown about.

worse thing is someone sayin I love you, when you only know them for 2 mins (read a few days)

Obviousley you don't love me, you might feel close but you barely know me so back up, and if you expect me to reply in a similar fashion.

i used to hate it when my best friend would say i love you after every phone conversation and she would get so pissed off when i wouldnt say it back.

it only loses impact and becomes boring when you accept this others cultural connotation of it.

Love is a powerful thing. Like any thing, it will be used as a tool for some, and a weapon for others, and still yet as a service for others. but if you allow it to mean what it is supposed to, and stay open and not jaded by more contemporary interpretations of it; everyone has the capabilities to love, be loved, and be transformed by it.

tbh, i don't think Love is used enough as a reason. Of all the things we can normally attribute behavior to (i.e. greed, cruelty, selfishness, pride), we could all stand to have a bit more Love.

I agree, It would be nice If more peopl did things for love. tho i suspect most deeds are done for other reasons. what I don't like is people expressing Love when I feel their feelings are to shollow/minor/fleeting to be counted as love.

Plus, love should be shown not told, the word is a novelty these days, I mean my mate says he "loves" his bird but he just loves having someone he can knob when he wants, he spends 90% of his time with her and that, its a proper routine ting, least in my opinion..

The one bird I thought I 'loved' I didn't wanna spend every day with her because I like my own space but every time I did I tried my damn hardest to make it better than the last time we saw eachother, always trying to do something what would put a smile on her face, showing her that I wasn't just after getting my willy wet.

I feel what eLBe is sayin. I don't wanna hear it. I wanna see it, smell it, feel it, taste it. I wanna trust it. Dated a cat who "loved" me. Cheated on me and kept insisting that he did. Maybe in some way he did....but not enough to not hurt me. That doesn't equal love to me. That equals "I don't want to compromise what I want but I also don't want to be alone." It forces you to be really careful when you judge it--but the beautiful thing about that is....when its real, oh boy is it ever! Been in love love love once so far....and even though it didn't last, i'm entirely thankful that I got to see what its like. And if I ever get to experience that two times in my life, I will consider myself the luckiest of women.
