Maybe someone can explain to me why stating ones opinion, or using another forum equates to soiling this forum.

So how many forums did you sign up to KION? I can count at least one.

I don't think anyones said that :)

this is the best forum I currently use but a forum of course is made of people...

A public forum is by it's very nature going to have more than one worldview/opinion being represented...

I have never understood why this was a problem...yet negativity is always perceived as such....negativity, positivity....all welcome viewpoints on all subjects surely?

and my point is that this is my favorite forum, and my frustrations stem from feeling shit on by this move. we all visit several forums, i am sure. but this is still the main one, and most of us like coming here or we wouldn't spend as much time here as we do.

it's not that this one doesn't "suit me" (or at least, it wasn't before); it's that i don't like being told "shut up and play the way we want you to, or go fuck off and we'll close it", when i was playing nice with others the whole time (as most of us actually were).

these are not complicated points many of us are trying to make, but it seems that some want to defend this action to the death, regardless of the frustrations of the people that it affected.

are any of the mods going to at least acknowledge the frustrations? or are we just gonna keep being told that we are whining? cuz that just proves the points we have been making, honestly. not to mention it's a lame defense. try harder.

Firstly that wasn't directed at anyone in particular, it was a collective statement at the attitude and complaints that have been aired - repeatedly (not just once). I'm not trying to start any net beef - I'm a netetarian for a start.

And as for calling it a right wing statement - haha jeez I'm definitely not right-wing, and neither is my attitude to life - I'm just sick of the negative complaints of some people - if they really want to do something, start something up how they think it should be.

There's plenty of people for this to be done now. This forum is not linked to you by blood. You can go elsewhere if things aren't to your liking. You had the opportunity to create new places to chat etc - use them. Of course you can offer opinions on what you don't like, and offer ideas and ways of changing that, but when you're simply expressing negativity with no real backbone or resolution to the problem, why repeat it infinitely? We've got your point(s). And whoever reads this, its not *directed at you personally* - don't be a paranoid schitzo.

And yes I signed up to 2 forums - get darker (which I thought I'd signed up t before) and that thedubstepforum.com one - because somebody said they'd posted something I needed to see, and I had to sign up to access the page. Big deal! Does that make me some kind of traitor? When I said 'got involved', I didn't mean simply 'sign up to', I meant be part of the running of a forum, ie mod or whatever.

I just wanted to see what was going on, like most other people. And yeah of course people use more than one forum - how naive do you think I am.

Once again the drama queens have kicked up a stink over not a lot. Maybe it's down to some people relying on forums due to geographical locality - they can't just walk down the street and go meet likeminded mates for a drink or coffee. Or they're VERY bored at work. Get another job then.

I may delete this post after a day or so, as I'm adding to the negativity by even responding to this shit. Because I have the power to

I got gigs, posted mixes, listened to dubstep and attended Dubstep shows all over the planet before I ever heard of this site. To be honest, I wasn't even coming back to see if it had re-opened until someone sent me a link. The moderators probably aren't to blame. I know that they don't have access to admincp.cgi

So the blame falls exclusively on the Admin's of this site. For whoever has access to the radio button that takes the site offline, is the one who did this. Consider for a minute that some labels and producers do business through PM's here.

Oh well, we don't pay the hosting fee, so we have no say in anything. I for one would like to buy stock in this forum to make sure it doesn't close itself down in the middle of a deal again.

Or maybe some warning?

Obama is running a campaign of HOPE. of CHANGE.

Now, he didn't build the fever for hope and change, but he has included those ideas in the daily vernacular. For him to then come to office and bring neither Hope, nor Change says something about his character.

Likewise, you(the forum) have put DubstepForum in the daily vernacular for so many people who post here. For you to then come to power and not offer dubstepforum said a lot. Sure, this is a service you don't have to offer. I don't have to help old ladies across the street and we don't have to slow down to avoid hitting the person crossing illegally against the light... we're completely within our rights to avoid doing the right thing.

But SHOULD WE avoid doing the right thing?

Oh, Bigup the staff of DSF! Your time. Shine in it.

Right, I couldn't give a rat's arse whether this forum went or not, it's here, great. I also couldn't give a rats arse whether other forums came or went. I don't do forums - this is the most I've written for months and months. If you wanna use another forum, wicked, if you wanna use this one, whoopy.

You've totally misunderstood what I was getting at.

Put another way, would you carry on going to a restaurant if you didn't like the food? You'd complain maybe, then stop going. Maybe you'd go back occasionally to see if things have improved. But what is improvement? What if it's purely down to your individual taste? Maybe you don't like the parsley garnish they put on every god damn dish. Yep, tell them, but maybe other people love it. Perhaps offer an alternative - if they don't (or can't) take it onboard, quit swimming against the tide, up sticks and move on.
