Beatlejuice raised some initial good points but then it just dissolved into hating.

let's hope that is the case, I'd hate to see them get burried by vinyl elitism.

I read the interview last night and wanted to post but i was too tired.

I haven't read all of the other stuff in this thread, but i thought the interview was fucking great. really inspiring to hear those guys chat so openly about everything.

wicked to hear more about/from kryptic minds also. The first time i heard there stuff i thought they were fucking dope but nobody seemed to talk or know much about them. It looks like 2009 is going to be their year. awesome.

cheers blackdown.

bigup everyone who's read the piece. i think i should also state for the record that i think the Kryptics album is *even* stronger than the mix...

That would mean that they've made potentially the best dubstep album to date... :o

Mix is serious. This is music you can get lost in.

Ill interview....the section where yall talk about Coki was interesting. I'm fairly new to the scene...but I can now tell that he's the one who remains behind the scene. Trippy that he'll just not get up and spin for no apparent reason. And ROFL @ "Fuck these guys, they're writing my beats for me" I can imagine innovating a certain sound and having that sound torn away from me...and then resorting to evolving into some next shit...which certainly...if it gets big...will see a fair amount of jackery. Loefah had me hyped for hearing that shit.

+, everything else he said.

Helped me understand his music more...cuz I sit there with Coki beats on repeat and think "Surely, a normal person wouldn't think of this...or is this just the untapped realm of a normal person's mind?"

LOL

excellent stuff

both mix and interview

I'd really love if Blackdown did such a complex interview with Lynx & Kemo, their album is simply the most amazing thing that happened in dnb in a long long time.

good interview, long! but extremely interesting.

I must say i find it a little confusing as to why they're hating on Friction for wanting to play a bit of dubstep in his sets, Friction isn't asking to get booked at dubstep raves so he can spin dubstep... and Loefah's sitting there complaining about it.. with Krypitic Minds, known primarily for their work in DnB?!

Track listing is sick, but it's ALLLLL their own work, which begs the question - are they really deeper into dubstep then any other DnB producer/DJ like Friction?...

I have no problem whatsoever with DnB producers converting to dubstep, but don't hate on others for wanting to do the same.

I think what they were complaining about was the fact that Friction is basically doing this to please crowds. He's texting Benga who's in the top 3 mainstream dubsteppers but probably has no fucking clue what dubstep is.

BAHAHAHAHAHAH
family hating scandal on dubstep forum

you're just pissy i said lost all faith was shit

all my points were valid - bare hype over these dnb guys jumping scenes to save dubstep as we know it - .

Reggae/jamaican sample halfstep with a raw bassline - revolutionary!!!

Seriously though i'll say it again - dig the music - but i'm baffled by the hype
