That's probably the case for most tunes out there man.

Intro is sick, but don't really dig that trance synth-y style. :?

Same problem with this Swindle tune as I have with a lot of his stuff. Always a sick intro, sick vibes, and then drops into some really annoying and far less soulful bit that doesn't carry the same soul or jazz as the intro.

silkie doesnt do this though,

dunno how swindle went from being a decent grime producer to making half-step synthy tunes, guys sound is more suited towards that butterz stuff nowadays rather than medi. not even hating just saying i know i'll have no interest in listening to that tune again after the first play.

:a:

This isn't my favourite swindle tune, but swindle is consistently deep whatever label he's on. Airmiles, Unlimited/Pineapple, Do The Jazz, Bebop, Swaggeristic etc. the guy's a proper musician.

so is flux pavillion. don't see how any of that post and labelling his tunes relates to this release :/

these tunes were all popular due to butterz tbh so i dunno why you're disagreeing. regardless of that you're also trying to say being a proper musician =/= releasing sub-standard beats.

smh. this logic should rule out the majority of deep medi releases :a:

The list shows the different labels he has released great (well received), appropriate tracks on. It was to counter your point that Swindle should stick to Butterz.

Leave it mate, the point I was trying to make clearly wasn't understood.

I think it sounds sick, and I will keep admiring Mala for his decision to sign these tunes knowing there will be backlash from folks like you. I'd rather have a Deep Medi that signs some out of the ordinary tunes than just the same old sounds we've already heard

not so keen on this tbh but i can appreciate it and definitely appreciate Mala's commitment to putting out what he wants rather than what's expected from him and medi

Not feeling this one but I cannot agree more
This is Mala's label and he's pushing the sounds he's feeling

After all, variety is the spice of life

I definitely enjoyed that release a lot as well, one of my favorites for sure, but I'm not entirely sold on this one, at all. Maybe I'll have to hear the B side.
