I'm never gonna waste that kind of money... I'm 15 for fuck sake, my parents don't exactly think music is a "guaranteed" future, I know it isn't... But still..
I'm not calling the devs stnuc. I was referring to myself and the distributor.

riiiiiiiight you were calling yourself a tnuc when you said "fucking stnuc"

. 0/10 save on that one
and no one says you have to pursue it as a career just case you buy software... sometimes hobbies just require a bit of an investment. if you really enjoy it, it shouldnt really be an issue. a guitarist doesn't complain that he
HAS TO spend a couple hundred dollars on a new guitar... but like i said, i get that not everyone can afford it or not everyone is into it enough to spend that much cash on it, just don't complain when the free way isn't perfect

tbf I think you wrote it in 2010 or something. I did a search to see if there was a thread recommending earphones and just gave up after I found your post I quoted.
They are the Sennheiser CX 200 'Street' II - I bought 3 year replacement cover with them but they always break within the 1 year manufacturers warranty so I always return them on that basis. Only problem is the manager of the shop I got them from has started being a dick and only very reluctantly replaced them last time. That was about 2 months ago. This pair has broken in record time.
From my point of view, if something breaks within a year of purchase because it was poorly designed in the first place, then that's the makers fault.
From their point of view, if you use it too much it's your fault.
Bollocks.
I mean, I definitely got my money's worth, they cost me £30ish around 2 and a bit years ago and i've gone through about 6 or 7 pairs, it's just the principle.
Anyway, does anyone have any recommendations for in-ear headphones? Headphone type headphones are not compatible with my job.

LOL
Don't you mean Skullcandy? Sennheisers are the most reliable brand for headphones.

nah the low end priced sennheisers break rapidzzzzzzzzz, i must have gone through 10 pairs or so.
HD25's seem to be indestructible though.

Yeah just for once spend some big cash on proper earphones. You won't regret it.
More than 3 years ago I bought myself a pair of Denon AH-C751's which were at that time around 190 euros or something. Very expensive, I know, but I've been taking them to school and work with me every day for the past 3,5 years or so and they still work perfectly.
So I'd say it's definitely worth it. plus the sound quality is of course incredibly good.

Fuck it. Might just get these -

But seriously, I suppose i'm looking for a middle-of-the-road pair. Don't want them to break so quickly but can't have them being too special either as I use them for work.

^^^Yup.
They always say not to wrap it round stuff coz it'll damage the wire, but what the fuck else am I supposed to do with it? Just leave it sticking out of my pocket so it catches on door handles, wing mirrors, step ladders, other peoples bags etc etc?
Just design the wire better, fuck-o

I've been using
http://v-moda.com/ earphones for a few years now based on some recommendations from here. They seem to have completely changed their range, design and pricing since I bought mine though, so not sure whether they're still any good. Also, I used to get them direct from the US, so there will be hefty import charges if you buy from them. Not sure whether they're stocked locally in the UK anywhere.
