All good.

Mastering job is perfect, as always. :e:
Ditto.

Nice decent wax too, no flimsy bendy shite.

Although I'm a bit concerned about how tightly the 2&3 vinyl are in that back pouch, i dont wanna rip the outer case :!:

Might buy spare cases for it lol

gutted, have a single skip on livin' different within the first sixteen bars after the drop....must of spent an hour running the record back and forth, finding where it skips and pressing my eye up to it looking for a scratch. Guess it's fair after getting a good press of silkie's lp.

Anyone know the procedure for sending faulty records back...are they liable for paying return postage?

Redeye said every copy will be the same, so there's no point in replacing - though I'm pretty sure it's down to a few % being dodgy

the whole release has the best mastering i've yet heard in dubstep

im playing the kryptic minds wasteland 12" and it sounds thin by comparison

isnt it just the fact it has vicious low end that causes skips?

I'm thinking it could be that, because for me the skipping starts at the drop. But Livin' Different isn't as bass heavy as Eyes or Return II Space surely?

well im no expert and havent yet dropped this through a rig but the whole thing seems uncompromisingly deep.....i have quite cheap decks here and ive never even touched the weighting on them..stanton str8-30s and they sound amazing...it is very unlike other dubstep in terms of the depth id say

for the benefit of a previous poster who was asking, i got mine from sounds of the universe and it's absolutely mint - not so much as a hint of a skip, tunes all sound super-weighty, and the artwork is really quite splendid. sorry to hear some people having problems though, hope you all get sorted out

Got my copy in this morning, been listening to it at high volume ever since. The missus is not happy.

Hoping this will help one or two cases of skippage:

I used to get skipping problems in the mix with tunes like "Yours" and "Asbo" until noticing that my carts weren't exactly square to the record, as I always bring them to gigs as backup, that squareness is an easy thing to forget to check whenever screwing carts onto tonearms. Since then haven't had problems with too-fat grooves physically throwing the needle off. Also check your deck(s) is/are well isolated: my guess is that rattling your deck and the record at the same frequency as the stylus would surely lead to resonance of sorts. A bit too much excitement for your little diamond tip...

disclaimer: Haven't stopped playing "Eyez" over and over yet to check the other tunes  Unsure if I'll ever get round to it!

I have this.

It does not skip.

It is incredibly deep.

Mala is ridiculous.

still waiting .. :(

on a side note however, i think 83 pages and the popularity of this LP shows vinyl is still well and truly kicking on :e:

Living Differently skips for me, but only for the first quarter of the track. Using Stanton TII-SK, same with shure m44-7 also.

So gutted, easily my favourite track from the collection.

EDIT:

Fixed it, took the weight down loads rather than putting it all the way up. If the solution is that simple, I'm guessing it's the same for everybody else and the copies are fine.

Works for both needles.

i had the same problem, one skip shortly after the drop, but i adjusted the weight a bit and now it plays perfectly.. sounds like u could definitely do the same, dont be so hasty to return

big up Mala tho, every tune is sick!!!

yup dun kno...

it is most likely that all copies are the same...it is just that some people's set ups are different to others...so some are noticing a skip and others aren't...it is all to do with the weight of the needle...

i played one of my copies at home and all 6 tracks played through fine with no skips at all...took it round my mates house and all tracks played through fine with no skips except 'Livin' Different' which had 1 slight skip near the start and then carried on playing...he adjusted the weight on his needle and then it also played through fine with no problems...

if there is a repress i'll buy another copy but i'm not really that fussed to be honest...i've got 2 mint copies (1 sealed) and all tracks play perfectly (except for Livin' Different on one certain weight setting...but obviously when i play it i won't have it on that weight setting haha...and then that is perfect aswell...)
