Hey! I'm new to the forum but I've been into dubstep for the past 2 years or so. I'm on a lot of car forums, but I had never thought to look for a DUBSTEP forum! It's been getting bigger in my area, now you can catch something good every weekend or so. So glad to find a community of fellow dubberz!

long time lurker, new member. joined up to contribute to the production forum, discuss releases etc. Im from Australia, just started producing a few months ago, but been a listener for a couple years though.

Hey! I'm from the U.S., Seattle, WA to be specific. I've been listening to dubstep for about a couple months, and I've been wanting to try to make it since!
I've been trying to research it and what not, but I really can't seem to figure out all these plugins and synths and whatever it is they call all these things, so if someone could maybe direct me to like where I should start, that would be really awesome! I have a bit of experience in video editing, but I don't know how much that would help. Good to see all these people out here who enjoy dubstep so much, I'm excited to find out about more artists, I hardly know any

Hi, to introduce ourselfs:
STRFLD Simulation is a system for live versioning and direct dubbing operated by lu-cut and aktylat.
Two Turntables and an Effect Rack Tower ('STRFLD Simulator') are used. Vinyl is carefully selected, mixed, juggled and re-arranged.
Sounds are layered and feedbacked through alienatedly connected effect devices. Delays, Reverses, Phaserings and Modulations sum up to an audiosphere of dopplereffects.
We've just posted a snippet of our new mixtape and a our first track right here at dubstepforum and appreciate your feedback.

Hi, been to this forum a bunch so i decided to become a member. From Los Angeles, currently living in Humboldt, have played music forever, but im best at drumming. I began with fruity loops but went with reason about a year ago, and now i just began using Live 8 and Reason together. I basically started all this because the ability to have any instrument and sound in the palm of your hand is freaking cool.

Just wanted to introduce myself, my name is Sean and I'm from Calgary, Alberta in Canada...I've recently become completely fascinated with the dubstep genre, and have decided to start producing it myself.

I'm in the very early stages of the learning curve to dubstep production, but in the last 3 days since I've started, I've managed to make my own wobble sample from the ass-end of a snare wave! That, to me, was so inspiring!

So I went out and bought FL Studio and I've been messing around with that...but now I want a midi controller because I think it might be easier for me to work with something physical alongside the software. If anyone has a suggestion as to a great midi controller to buy it would be much appreciated!

I know I have a LOT to learn about dubstep production, but as dedicated as I am to this, I'm sure that it will come to me in time.

Greets all, I'm a producer of 7yrs from the Southeast US / the 256. I've been browsing the forums here a bit looking for some possible connects and friends in the area. Check my soundcloud for some original tracks [and the odd Aphex Twin remix], I used to write a lot of IDM but the past few years my sound has shifted more to DnB/dubstep. What's up on my page is just a mixed selection of "classics" and newer stuff. Played some shows here and there in the Southeast and definitely looking to reach a larger audience for my sound.
